I have small like chinese/cat eyes -light brown eyes and light brown skin. My hair color is a light brownish color. Also, what color shimmering lip gloss should I wear- peach- brown-clear? ThanksWhat color eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes pop???
well i would suggest this color called ';lucky penny'; with clinique. Its bronze colored with gold, and then i would get a (not so flashy) golden shimmer powder to apply over that color to make it a little less ';brown';. The golden shimmer on light brown skin looks so cute. Thats how i do mine when i tan. Or if you're feeling extreme try electric aqua eyeshadow to corner of your eyes on the lash line. It looks cute, but you have to be confident to wear it! Lots of luck xoxo.
ps. wear a peach gloss or clear. What color eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes pop???
A metallic or light, shimmery bronze, copper, gold or lilac color would look best to compliment your eyes and complexion. Don't use anything too dark or shimmery or it will make your eyes look smaller. Line just your upper lashline with a dark black/brown pencil and curl and apply mascara to just your upper lashes to really open your eyes. As for lips, peach, copper or gold-based colors look great.
Eyeshadow: Sparkly Gold
Lip Gloss: Light Pink
Hope this helps!!!!! :D
lilacs and pinks look best on brown eyes and with a little black eyeliner on the outside edges of your eyelid it looks great.
for the lips a peach looks good with a neutral eyeshadow and a clear with a bright eyeshadow.

Makeup tips for deep-set eyes
http://geethabeautytips.blogspot.com/200鈥?/a>
okay, purples look best on brown eyes. i'd do a lighter purple perhaps a lavender during the day and a darker purple maybe a plumn color for night. i think pinks and peaches really make lips stand out and look really full and beautiful on darker complected girls.
light to med purple on lids only. line eyes with black at lash line very exact.
i like nude lips because it does look natural. make sure you dont use too much of whatever lipstick or you'll look dead
use depth applying skills to make your eyes look bigger and chinese eyes give you a big canvas to work with
if you want a crease wear false lashes.(a strip)
Start with using a sharp eyeliner pencil and really work it into the roots of your eyelashes. Use a dark brown. Just use your finger and rub off the excess if you need to. Also line the bottom lid making the progressively thicker as you go out [teardrop would have less that the outer part of your eye]
Apply some shimmer below the eyebrow and on your teardrop to create bigger eyes.
Finishin off with some mascara.
Also sivler eyeshadow are brown eyes best friend. Apply some in the middle of the lid to really make eyes pop.
To alternate... try using blue shadow to line your eye instead of always using brown.
good colours are silver, green and blue.
Peach lip gloss and a med brownish- burgundy shadow applied with a brush to the lid of your eye. finish with mascara and there you have it.
Eye Shadow Color:
If you want a stronger eye you should jump into cooler colours. Such as deep plums, black, darker taupe and midnight blue. These all would shine out your eye.
Lip Gloss:
You could wear peach brown clear however, i would suggest a pale bubble gum peach shimmer gloss. This way it would show your lips more and direct the attention off your eyes.
i use purple eyeshadow and it makes my small brown eyes pop out.
hope i helped

What are some good colors of eyeshadow to make blue eyes stand out?
Pinks and light purple. What are some good colors of eyeshadow to make blue eyes stand out?
I use pink and green to make my blue eyes stand out. If you wear glasses it helps a lot to get contacts. My mom has green eyes and she uses blue shadow and liner, and her eyes stand out amazingly!!What are some good colors of eyeshadow to make blue eyes stand out?
grays and pinks
grey and green
Golden, its like yellow but looks more elegant. You could also use brown but gold is better.
For blue eyes, sandy golds, shimmery browns, and matte medium browns look really good. If you want your eyes to REALLY stand out, a lot of companies have produced eye makeup specifically for certain eye colors to make them pop, you can probably find them at Target.
grey and gold
Different pinks and greens
Almay has a line of makeup just for Blue Eyes. They also have one for Hazels, Browns, Greens, etc. For the blues they have eyeshadow, liner, mascara. It works great to make the color pop.
Maroon and rust
I know that Silver, Blue,Pink, Rose, Purple, Green is nice colors that suites blue eyes if you use them the right way.
My best advice is that you could try diffrent colors and how to have it on your eyes. You will learn yourself and that is a good thing.
Try it, and Good Luck!
I have blues eyes with fair skin... This is what I use to make mine stand out. Pinks/Cranberry, Browns, Coppers, Purples, Dark Blue, Gray. I can't wear green, but if its blue based I can.
RED. It really, really makes blue eyes look blue!
Violet's %26amp; Purples
A bronzy brown will make them really syand out

A dark green eyeshadow that would make brown eyes pop would be MAC Humid. But if you're looking for something more inexpensive, Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow in Shamrock would be best. It's only $6.99.

What eyeshadow should i use to make my eyes pop?
i have light brown eyes, almost yellowish orangy, medium skin, and black hair.

I think shades of purple, green, or light blue would work well for you. Urban Decay make-up makes an eyeshadow base that really makes the color stand out and stay on all day. They also have vibrant eyeshadow colors. I use it all the time and I'm very pleased with the product. What eyeshadow should i use to make my eyes pop?
almay has eyeshadows for certain eye colors... i have dark-sometimes lighter brown eyes and i just recently tried it, it's a trio and you can get it at walmart or whatever for about 5 bucks maybe? give it a try =]
Olive Green or Chocolate Brown with a hint of gold would look gorgeous! Stick to darker, more statement colors since you have dark hair and medium skin.

How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?
people tell me like for example put dark in the crease but what does that mean? could someone please tell me a good idea for eye make up and tell me where ur supposed to put it on ur eye.How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?
okay... this is the way you put on eyeshadow to acheive the glamor look.
for BEST results get eyeshadow paint (a cream to put on your eyes before you put on anything, it makes the color stand out and stay on sold at MAC), a eyeshadow bush (to apply eyeshadow), and a blending brush (to make the colors mesh together)
so lets say for example your dress is black with purple parts on it. first put on the paint before anything. then on the lid of your eye put purple eyeshadow with the eyeshadow brush. then under your brow put white eyeshadow, its okay if the purple and white touch. then in the middle (the crease)put black eyeshadow in the shape of pac man. like on your right eye the black part should look like this %26lt; and on your right eye it should look like this %26gt; the ends of the black part should shape your eye. then use your bledning brush and sweep over your entire eye to mix the colors. then put on your black eyeliner, and mascara. the art of putting on eyeshadow is all about learnig which colors go together and blending. if you dont blend you'll look like dracula eyes. hope this helps! let me know !How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?
http://beauty.about.com/od/eyeshadow/ind鈥?/a>
hope that helps...
:D
start with mascara then a shimmery eyeshadow in a bronze color then make a small line of liquid eyeliner really close to your lashes so that your will look bigger and finally dab a small amount of a silvery eyeshadow
i think that you should do something dark. you need to put the dark eyeshadow in your crease ( your crease is like the middle of your eyelid sorta) and then you probably want to put some shimmer or sparkles like a little under yopu eyebrow. wear mascara and eyeliner if you want to go with something really dark but when you are using the eyeliner make sure that you do it lite if you want to wear it but you dont want ti to be too dark. i hope this helped what you were looking for!!!

get baby lotion and mix it with glitter from poundland then rub it into ur eyes all over n round it ull look sexual dawg
This is going to be long but I love doing makeup and it works really well. Start with a neutral light color like a really light tan or cream color. Add a little bit of water to your eye shadow brush and swirl it in the eye shadow first--it gives the eye shadow a little bit of a shimmery effect. Then, get an angled brush and a darker eye shadow color and start from the outside corner of your eye and sweep it inwards just a little bit and upwards in the crease..the crease is where the top of your eye lid meets the skin under your eye brows. Only bring the darker eye shadow to around the middle part of your eye lid and crease. Finish with wetting a very small brush and swirling it in a VERY light white or cream color (lighter than the first color you used) and apply it to the inner corner of your eyes on both the top and bottom of your eye. I always recommend mascara on anyone and for a dance show, I would recommend eye liner to make your eyes stand out more, but that's your own choice. Good luck!
I have a fondness for light green eye shadow (on a woman, of course).
I don't know why, I just do....

Girls, How do you make that cat-eyes effect with your eyeshadow???
Can you tell me how??
Can i use another color other than black eyeliner so my eyes will stand out??
OH, and what shade of green is good fro darkbrown eyes??Girls, How do you make that cat-eyes effect with your eyeshadow???
I dont know what colors would be good on you since i dont know what you look like, but here is a link that has step by step instructions and what you need to do it. Remember that it is not easy the first time you do it and you should need practice to know how to apply the make-up good!
Have Fun!
http://community.livejournal.com/punk_ma鈥?/a>Girls, How do you make that cat-eyes effect with your eyeshadow???
ITS NOT SO MUCH EYE SHADOW THAT GIVES THAT EFFECT BUT RATHER EYE LINER AND ITS KIND OF HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT I'LL TRY. YOU USE WHATEVER SHADOW YOU WANT...THEN WITH A BROWN EYELINER (I RECOMMEND ALEXIS VOGEL THICK EYE PENCIL) YOU START WITH THE INNER CORNER OF THE UPPER LID AND LIGHTLY DRAW A LINE ALL THE WAY OUT TO ABOUT 1/8'; PAST THE OUTER CORNER MOVING UPWARD SLIGHTLY. AS THIS LINE IS DRAWN IT GETS THICKER AND THICKER AND THEN YOU FILL IT ALL IT....BUT LIGHTLY. THEN TAKE A QTIP AND SMUDGE IT A LITTLE TO SOFTEN. IT MIGHT TAKE SOME PRACTICE BUT ITS WORTH IT. USE THIS TECHNIQUE FOR EVENING ONLY. ITS A LITTLE MUCH FOR DAYTIME. TRY WWW,ALEXISVOGEL.COM FOR MORE HINTS. I'M NOT SURE IF THAT RIGHT BUT HOPEFULLY. GOOD LUCK.
GREENS WITH BROWN EYES.....WONDERFUL.....OLIVE FOR EVENING AND A LIGHT MINT FOR DAYTIME. NEXT SEASON MIGHT BE DIFFERENT AS FAR AS WHATS ';NEW'; BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN ONE TO PAY A WHOLE LOT OF ATTENTION TO THAT. I WEAR WHAT LOOKS GOOD NOT WHAT'S ';NEW';. DON'T TAKE ME WRONG......I WATCH VERY CLOSELY TO ANY NEW IDEAS BUT I DECIDE!!!
you can use brown eyeliner and an emerald green might be best , for the cat-eyes it is easier to apply it with a liquid eyeliner, but if you don't want to use a thin brush and don't use a dry shadow
You can use almost any colors. Emerald green would be gorgeous with your eyes. I recommend Clinique's Jaded eyeshadow duo. Here's what you do using an eyeshadow duo: take the light shade and apply it to your entire eyelid, up to the brow or at least higher than the crease. Then, take the darker shade and apply it from your lash line up to the crease of your eyelid. Using a q-tip or eyeshadow applicator, line the upper and lower lashline with the darker shade and blend it out and up very slightly. You can also use eyeliner to achieve this part. Top it all off with lots of masara, focusing on the outer lashes and you are set!
Hope this helps!!
Oh, and a dark brown or grey eyeliner works great for this as well as black. Dark green would be pretty too.

Get the felt triangle from Alexis Vogel use black or dark eyeshadow and fill in the outer bottom edge then drag it up into the crease on the top
The key to the perfect smoky eye is proper blending. You want to make sure colors are blended together flawlessly. Also, it's important to pair light base colors with rich dark colors. Nice mixes include: Soft gold base with deep purple on top, champagne base with bright blue %26amp; peach base with green hue.
Prep the lid. The key to keeping eyeshadow from melting into your eyelid crease as the day goes on is to kept eyelids oil-free. To do this start with an eyeshadow base. I prefer to dab at bit of MAC's 'paint' on lids before shadow application. Or try Fresh Freshface Perfecting Eye Primer.
Apply eyeliner. If you're going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If your opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.
Blend in color on bottom lashes For color on the bottom (a key smokey eye look) you'll want a lighter eyeliner %26amp; the key is to 'smudge it'. You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect.
Apply light base color Again, the key to a smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue. I prefer a nice cream shade for my base. Sweep a light, shimmery shadow over the lids to your browbone. I love Stila's whipped eye shadows $20. The moist 'mousse' consistency seems to stay on forever. My favorite colors are taupe %26amp; pearl.
Blend in darker color, but keep dark color below the crease. Now that you have the base %26amp; eyeliner on, it's time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush blend in color starting at your lash line %26amp; blending up. Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep color at crease.
Doublecheck your work Make sure eyes match %26amp; blend color with a Q-tip if need be.
Finish with several coats of volumnizing mascara. Tried %26amp; true mascaras (featured in 'Elle' magazine's March 2006 issue) include DiorShow Mascara %26amp; L'Oreal Paris Volume Shocking Mascara. 'Elle's writer says they are the best volumnizers she's tried.

Get his book ';Making Faces'; from the library or Amazon. It is very good
this is the best way to try it and see how much of a cat eye you want:
buy an angled, thin brush for brows, like m.a.c #266. after applying your shadow (or not if you just want the liner winged out) use a gel liner like m.a.c fluidline or bobby brown gel liner. they are easier to control than a liquid and stay better because both brands are waterproof. apply a small amunt to the brush and keep the liner close to your lashline to start, building to your desired thickness. then, once you get to the outer corner of the eye, flip the brush so the longest tip is facing downward and draw in your line. the brush has a built in straight edge for a clean line. try to avoid the outer part of the liner going too far down the eye, it can make your eyes look droopy instead of uplifted.
another way to do it is to use the brush and simply draw on the shape you want, and fill it in. once you get to the outer part where you want the flipped part to be, its okay to get sloppy. here, if you use the straight edge if a make up wedge sponge with a bit of eye make up remover on it (just a little to dampen the sponge, not too much) you can get a clean straight line simply from the sponge. the remover will clean up the mistakes and make the line straight.
for dark brown eyes: a dark blue green (think peacock green) will make your eyes look lighter. to enhance the dark brown, try a smoky green (like m.a.c fiction or greensmoke) so the focus is still on the eye but not taking away from the darkness of the brown in your eye.
hope this all makes sense, and good luck!

another way to do it is to use the brush and simply draw on the shape you want, and fill it in. once you get to the outer part where you want the flipped part to be, its okay to get sloppy. here, if you use the straight edge if a make up wedge sponge with a bit of eye make up remover on it (just a little to dampen the sponge, not too much) you can get a clean straight line simply from the sponge. the remover will clean up the mistakes and make the line straight.
for dark brown eyes: a dark blue green (think peacock green) will make your eyes look lighter. to enhance the dark brown, try a smoky green (like m.a.c fiction or greensmoke) so the focus is still on the eye but not taking away from the darkness of the brown in your eye.
hope this all makes sense, and good luck!
What eyeshadow colours will make my blue eyes stand out the most?
Violet , warm taupe, rich warm brown, soft peach, gray, purple, black mixed with a bright blue. For more funk go with silver fuschia and turquoise. be careful with any blue shadow it can make your blue eyes dull. meaning even a nice darker shadow can outshine your nice color.
It's not all about the shadow. Play up with the eyeliner as well, with a blue or purple. What eyeshadow colours will make my blue eyes stand out the most?
honestly, black's my favorite.
something about it makes blue eyes really stand out.
just don't use too much.
For Blue Eyes:
1. Tried and True: taupe, gray, violet, purple, deep blue (a darker shade than your eye color makes your eyes really blue), black (mix it with bright blue for a smoky effect)
2. Funky Favorites: silver, turquoise, fuschia (brightens any shade of blue)What eyeshadow colours will make my blue eyes stand out the most?
as a person with blue eyes golds, bronzes, browns and blues. make baby blues pop. just make sure you have mascara to make your eyes seems bigger.
Grey eyeliner makes blue stand out really well. and you could just do the eyeliner on the top.
White %26amp; Silvers/Greys
Pinks %26amp; Oranges
Purples %26amp; Blues
Black
you should really use a dark brown or light brown (depending on skin type) or a blue if ur daring! ha

i'd say a smoky black, why not a nice plum color which is also in this season. Why not get some funky glitter colours, also a bold electric blue/ deep purple could work.
gold. deifntly
if you want somthing fun

How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
I have tried before and I look like a racoon? What are the best products to use and how do you apply them? How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
I always put a white eyeshadow under my eyebrows, then grey on my eyelids. Afterwards I take a black eyeliner and I line my upper eyelids very thinly. I find if I make the line too thick, it looks very harsh and it makes my eyes look more ';puppyish'; instead of almond-shaped. Then I line the inner rims of my eyes with the black eyeliner. Aftewards I take black eyeshadow and either with an angled eyeliner brush or a wet cottonswab (Q-tip) I draw that triangle on the corner of my eyes. I fill it in with black eyeshadow and then put go over the black eyeliner with the eyeshadow to make it look more softer and the lines less harsh. I then take silver eyeliner and put some in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Then I finish with a lot of black mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. Remember when you do a smokey-eye look it is best to keep your lips a light colour - such as nude or light pink, or even just to use clear lipgloss. If you wear a dark or bright colour on your lips and smokey eyes, you will only look like a clown. How do you apply make-up so your eyes look smokey? Do you use both liner and eyeshadow?
Things You鈥檒l Need:
**Foundation
**Dark eye shadow
**Dark eye liner
**Eyebrow brush or toothbrush
**Tissue
Step1 Apply foundation to the entire face, including the eyelids and underneath the eyes.
Step2 Swipe a dark brown, black, charcoal or plum eye shadow to your lids using your fingers, starting at the lash line up to the crease. It's easier to smudge the shadow with your finger than maneuvering a shadow brush in such a small area.
Step3 Line the lash line with a dark shade of eyeliner. To make your eyes appear big and beautiful, start at the corner of your eye and stop about 戮 of the way across. Use your fingertip to smudge the line.
Step4
Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Open the curler then clamp your eyelashes at the base of the lash. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds.
Step5
Apply 2 coats of mascara. Allow the mascara to dry in between applications. Finish with an extra swipe on the outer corner of each eye to make the outer lashes appear longer and your eyes bigger.
Step6
Comb your eyebrows. Using an eyebrow groomer or a toothbrush, comb the eyebrows up at the innermost corner then up and out along the thinner area.
****Tips %26amp; Warnings
Fold a tissue in half and hold it under your eye to prevent eye shadow from sprinkling below the eye and causing ';raccoon eyes.';
A smokey eye can be tricky and can be easily mistaken for looking racoon-ish. MY fav is MAC cosmetics. I find that my best make up looks can be accomplished through MAC but you use what is comfortable and familiar to you.
For me, my eyes are naturally brown so to do the ';smokey'; look it does not take much and if i do it too dark it closes up my eyes...here are the colours i use and how i use them...
I use 2 specific colours:
MAC: Shadowy Lady (matte), Shale (satin) %26amp; Phloof! (frost)
I start with the Phloof: this is a neutral and light colour and i put it all over the eyelid and the brow bone. I use this first as a base and work up the other colours. I use a large shadow brush for all over application.
With a stiff crease defining brush i start to lightly build up my dark colour Shadowy Lady. I put this mainly in the crease and work it out towards the brow bone. I layer it usually so that i can control how dark i have it. Also, if you start dark it is difficult to chage the look without taking everything off and starting from the beginning.
I then apply my last colour Shale all over the rest of the lid with a small shadow brush.
I go over with the shadowy lady again to define in the crease and i take a fluffy blending shadow brush to blend it evenly and softly out. I will touch up the brow bone with alittle Phloof! at the end.
Finally, I take a fine line eyeliner brush and apply the Shadowy Lady as a liner under and above my eye. This adds the dramatic look. If you feel you want to go even more dramatic line a dark blue or black eyeliner FIRST then set it wit the shadow liner. Use a pencil or shadow smudger if you want to and smudge softly to the outer corners of your eyes. Put on a black or soft black mascara, and if need be clean up any fallen shadow under your eye with powder foundation or fluff it off with a blush brush.
I hope this helps.
Try MAC makeup, use their black eyeshadow or I use graphite paint. It looks really cool and its really pretty. You can't go wrong with MAC. Its trendy and sophisticated. They also show how to apply eyeshadow to make smokey eyes on their website. Check it out
or you can go to any make up counter and they can help you pick out the right shades.
i personally use eye liner and eyeshadow to create the smokey look. the eyeshadow is what gives you the smokey look tho
if you go to sephora, they can show you what colors look best on your skin, how to apply it, and what products to use. :)
yeah u use a smokey pencil eye liner aand darker shades of shadow.....and smudge the liner into the shadow but not completely though..

Is there a way i can make my eyeshadow last all day such as a hot day?
The brand of my eyeshadow is from claire'sIs there a way i can make my eyeshadow last all day such as a hot day?
The cheapest product to use is contact solution.Sounds crazy, I know but really works. Dab a little on a makeup brush and swipe where you are putting the shadow. I went swimming in a lake and it stayed on! Can't beat that. Also, you may want to invest in a better brand of eye shadow. Claire's isn't specialized in make-up, so try sephora, or if you don't want to spend too much look at target or walgreens. Is there a way i can make my eyeshadow last all day such as a hot day?
top it off with a finisher. sephora provides some.
they basically seal in makeup so that it stays all day even through sweat and tears, etc.
Wear an eye primer like Urban Decay's Primer Potion.chi hair

How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
I am fair skinned and have an almost white complexion, i have blue eyes and long, light brown curly hair could you please recommend the correct make-up i could use for my skin colouring? How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
Cover girl has a new chart out to help you decide what the best shades are for foundation, concealor and blush. They all coordinate with each other. It really help me, and the best I have ever found for my complexion in 20 years.
As far as eyes, I wouldnt use anything too dark . It has been said that pale browns/pinks look best on blue eyes, and that is what I use.How do i choose the right make up (eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation/powder)?
you would look good with a peach colored blush and maybe a little foundation with the eyes i would go with the almay color coordinated color sceam
Golds, browns bronze and tans/ peaches would be best for your eye color. Do you have a redder undertone or blueish undertone? Reddish is warm skin tone, Blueish is Cool skin tone, and then there is neutral. You need to figure out witch one you are so you can pick out the best color of foundations and powders suitable for your skin. Nudes and light pinks look good on fair skinned lips. Hope that helps.
firstly its all about the undertones of your skin, you will be either a cool tone or a warm tone you can generally tell this by the clothes that you wear which ones really suit you and make you look good! IE is it that blue jumper or your yellow jacket cool colours contain blues and pink and warm colours contains yellow IE black is cool brown is warm! Now make up:
Foundation: test 3 or 4 different ones on your face and the one that almost disappears into your skin is the correct colour.
Eyeshadow: you cant go wrong with a browns and beige's if you want stronger colours this is where your cool and warm tones come into play!
Cheeks: again depends on cool or warm so either Pink or Peach but to be honest you cant go wrong with a good bronzer (body shop is a good one)
Lips: cool or warm again!
Always wear Black mascara
Translucent Pressed powder (No7 pressed light is a good one)
I hope this helps, Ive worked on many faces in my job, and these guidelines usually work for me in my job! good Luck
I am fair skinned and have blue eyes, and I tend to go for smoky grey eyes and clear lipgloss. I always pick the lightest foundation colour that is made, and then slap a bit of bronzer on!
Actually Mary Kay has a website that shows you a bunch of different looks and you could check out the models who have your hair color and complexion. Its very helpful. Look under Color 101
I love to go to Mary Kay . Com and click on ';Virtual Make-Over'; if you pick out the matching skin color and eye color it will help you find the matching colors. And if you dont want to use Mary Kay make-up I like to print it off and go to the store and find matching colors with the cheaper brands!
Oh and it also helps you apply it on correctly! Hope this helps!
listent the best advice you could get is if you go to a cosmetics shop or a beauty salon and ask. the best is to go to a shop where they sell cosmetics line and ask them what suits your colour more. i would say that you need a light coloured foundation and a little darker powder on top. then the lipsticks and eyeshadows depends on what you are trying to give out to the people. like if you wanna play it simple go for lighter colurs with mascara but you might want to give off a vampy look. ... then you wear red lipstick and smoky eyes. it depends...i hope i helped you with my answer ...xxx
i use maybelline foundation at moment! use the everfresh one thats good for fair skin! found bourjois eye shadows are pretty good too, i have blue eyes, and find white pinks n browns look quite good! lancome juicy tubes are defo best lipgloss around u should defo purchase sum of that!!! although a use that makeup at moment am goin to buy some of the new jemma kidd range think mite try it out. dont kno if it any good tho yet! but they sell it at boots u mite want to check it out! x x
I would suggest asking a friend/work colleague who is of a similar age and colouring for her advice (assuming you like the way she does her make up). Don't go to a beauty counter in department store for a make up lesson like I did. The make up was heavy, I looked older and it was so thick I needed a spatula to scrape it off!!
the best thing to do is to go into a department store and ask them to try it for you. try foundation on your jaw line, not the back of your hand as it's not the same shade.
get a free makeover... most big shops do it.
with make up you have to experiment
this is the fun part.
you don't want anything too dark, maybe a light coloured pinkish blusher, black mascara and a bit of lip gloss. i'd go to a beauty counter say in Boots and ask them what they'd recommend too. More is less with make up though and as your fair i wouldn't over do it.
I am very fair as well, i stay out of the sun and use good sun block. I have blue/green eyes and light Blond hair - i found Christian Dior's liquid foundation has a nice light colour which blends and covers really well - expensive but lasts for at less six months because of the quality, worth every penny. Stick to light colours and neutral lipsticks which are a few shades darker then your natural complexion for every day makeup or a lip-gloss (darker for evening). I good blusher can help - again be careful to not go to dark - test in the shop if you are in the pink or orange range as this can look wrong if you go for the incorrect shade.
A good everyday style for eye shadow is a pearl base colour on the lid (for the sparkle mostly) and a small amount of black (or dark colour to match outfit of the day) just along the edge near the lashes - only go to the centre of the eye. Remember less is more - if you apply it well the natural look will get plenty of complements. Mascara to finish it off - i have dark lashes so i wear clear mascara which helps control the shape and cleans off any fallen powder from putting the makeup on. Good luck - experiment and enjoy.

What eyeshadow color(s) can I use to really make my eyes pop?
The ring of color on the outside of my iris is a dark navy that lightens to a medium blue on the inner side (just a little, it's more navy). The middle color of my eyes is a light blue-green and the color closest to my pupil is a light forest green. I've use gold or mossy green most days, but I really want a color to make my eyes pop tonight. I really hate using pinks, purples, and blues because they look so unnatural, more so on my very fair skin. Any suggestions??What eyeshadow color(s) can I use to really make my eyes pop?
Because orange is the complete opposite of blue, using something in that color family will really bring out your eyes. My eyes are very similar in color, and when I use a shimmery beige, gold, or bronze color you can really see the blue. Red is the contrasting color for green, so if you want to bring that out use something with more of that tone. What looks nice is to line your eyes with navy, and use the gold shadow--the navy brings the blue out and the gold makes it pop. What eyeshadow color(s) can I use to really make my eyes pop?
Almay makes this color collection called ';Bring out the Blue';. It's coordinated shades of eye shadow, liner, and mascara that are designed to make your eyes pop! They're sold at any pharmacy or discount department store. Give it a try!
Wear something close to your natural eye color. Don't ever wear eyeshadow that matches your clothes for that day. It's very 80's. I have a similar eye color and I use a soft goldish/green color from Clinique that I can't remeber the name of. Just make shure it looks natural and don't overdo it. Good luck.
my eyes are pretty much the same as you. I use black eyeliner on the bottom, with a black-brown eyeliner on top with brown shades of eyeshadow. it has a stunning effect. go to this website and it will give you tips on how to apply makeup
i would go with some browns and like colors like that those colors make my eyes pop out.

I use tans and browns and right under the brow use white. That really makes my eyes pop out. The white seems to make the difference.
Best to use neutral tones, from taupe to sable brown.
purpler or gold
Try shades of grey or yellow. Too much black would overpower them. Don't wear so much so that it looks fake though. Sometimes nude shades with a touch of eyeliner and mascera will be all you need. Sounds like you have really gorgeous eyes!
you use blue eyeshadow
purple will bring out the green, and orange will bring out the blue... and since you don't want anything too unnatural, try an orange... its not too far off from browns, which are more natural... and when you put it on, you don't have to put on a lot or a really bright orange...i have extremely fair skin with blue eyes, and i use orange and darker shades of pink to bring mine out...
pretty shimmery golds or silver colors.. with a light tan color in the crease would be really shimmery and naturally beautiful! have fun tonight! :)
green eyeshadow and brown mascara ;o)
Smokey eyes would look great. Not the Elvira look but a subtle smokey eye would be alluring. Think about purchasing a Kevyn Aucoin makeup book and have someone to assist you in applying your smokey look. Kevyn Aucoin was one of the best, I mean best makeup artists alive. I've purchased one of his hardback books a few years ago and found it to be priceless. He has been on Oprah many times.
navy blue combined with pearl beige
I have similar eyes and i use a khaki green colour made by Estee Lauder - it really eccentuates the blue.
i think black and for the eyes pink
Makeup is to express and show off your features. An eyeshadow I'd recommend is either tan, or anything somewhat darker than your own skintone. It may make your eyes pop out more, I'm not too sure. But that is my best recommendation. Good luck!
Well, purple brings out green. Nice eye color. :)
Um, try a shimmering light brown or mink. i have light blue eyes but ive seen that color eye b4 and it really works :)

My mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
I was thinking of using brown and a little green, would green be too in your face for a wedding?
ThanksMy mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
well, if she has brown/black eyes, than green is a good choice. If she has blue eyes than maybe a dark (DARK) hue of purple/black would look nice. if she has Hazel eyes than a light green and brown are pretty. if her eyes are green, than I think maybe shades of browns.
but then there's the dress problem...My mother is going to a wedding and i'm doing her make-up what eyeshadow should i use?
It depends on the shades and what lippy she wears. If the lips r drk dnt ovapowa it on the eyes makeup, bu if the lips r lyt then go 4 it on the eyes. Personally i wudnt put brown wid green bu its ur choice, test it out b4 the day 2 c ow it lks
What colour is her dress??
You should go with colors that bring out her outfit. As long as the colors aren't loud and distracting green should be a good choice.
Nothing compares to Chanel eye shadows!!!
i would say like a warm vanilla or toffe
maybe a white with a little baby pink
Bright blue...in case she gets lost.

How do I make my eyes pop? {(eyeshadow question)}?
I really like the look that Taylor Momsen had on the cover of teen vogue, particularily the eyes. How would I do that similar look without looking like a raccoon in the process? I really want to make my eyes pop.
http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu239鈥?/a>How do I make my eyes pop? {(eyeshadow question)}?
Use green eyeliner/eyeshadow if you have red undertones and purple eyeliner/eyeshadow if you have gold undertones. So I'm going to make this organized...
Red undertones:
Dark green/forest green eyeliner
Pale green eyeshadow
Black mascara
Gold undertones:
Purple/plum eyeliner
Lavender eyeshadow
Brown mascaraHow do I make my eyes pop? {(eyeshadow question)}?
do a brighter color that matches with your outfit our a dark sparkly grey on your eyelid then do the upper eye (under eyebrow) with a shimmery light color that matches your skin and wear eyeliner on the eyelid near the lashes and on your bottom lashes. Use badgal lash by benefit.
I would say use white eyeliner because it makes the eyes pop and then add your black or dark brown liner/shadows!
you're pretty!! ^_^ just go to youtube, there are a lot of tutorials about stuff like that
eyeshadow helps but to really make your eyes pop use a black or brown eyeliner on both your top and bottom lash lines.

Does anyone know of any cool colored shades of brown eyeshadow to make brown eyes pop?
Brown eyeshadow doesn't really make brown eyes pop. If you want them to pop try purples like MAC eyeshadow in Plum Dressing, Beauty Marked, Satellite Dreams, and Stars n Rockets, or any shades that look like those.

How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
im new at this n i wanted to kno how do i put on eyeshadow and other stuff without looking like a clown?? i have light brown eyes, deep dark eyeshadows and super light brown hair. thanks!!How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
First, buy a primer. I would suggest Urban Decay Primer Potion. You can get it at Sephora for 16 dollars.
Then, buy your favorite color of eye shadow. Also, buy a light highlighter for the top of your eyeshadow color. It should be a bit lighter than your skin tone, it should bring out and highlight your eyeshadow a bit. And, buy an eyeshadow shade that is similar to the other eyeshadow shade, but darker a bit.
Then, buy one eyeshadow crease brush. This will sorta highlight where your eyelid crease is. If the eyeshadows you bought don't include eyeshadow applicators, then buy an eyeshadow brush.
Remember to buy makeup remover. If you are on a budget, then just use cold water to remove it.
Now time for makeup application.
1) Apply the urban decay primer potion on your eyelids. Just a small little dap is needed. Then, just rub it on your eyelid with your finger.
2) Then apply some eyeshadow only on the eyelid, on the bottom of your eyelid crease. Make sure its on the bottom. Before you do that, I will teach you what is the crease.
http://www.makeupmania.com/images/eye_w_鈥?/a>
(the round line on top of the eyelid)
3) Then add the other eyeshadow(darker one) on the crease line with the creasing brush. Make sure its a light coat, not too heavy.
4) Then, use your blending brush to blend out the colors, just make sure it looks dimmensional and shadowy sorta.
5) Get the highlighter, and using the eyeshadow brush(washed), apply some on top of your crease and on the bottom of your eyebrows. Just a light coat, and follow your eyebrow as your doing it.
DONEEEE [:How do i put on eyeshadow and make uP?? First timer!! ?
For your first time you should try the basics.
Use a concealer palette/kit and apply yellow to ur dark circles %26amp; use green to even out red patches or spots.
Use minimal eye makeup, try waterproof mascara and black eyeliner on your bottom waterline and inside your tear ducts.
Apply some foundation if you'd like to even out your skin.
Use a light pink blush to give yourself a natural looking glow or bronzer to contour your cheek bones.
Finish off with some clear lip balm/gloss and use nude lip liner and blend inwards with your lip balm.
For eyeshadow use neutral colours like soft beiges and browns.
Start off with choosing a color like soft beige and cover your whole eyelid, then with another shade start blending it in from the outer corner of your eyes and towards. Use same colour/or another and blend in crease. Use a highlighter for under your eyebrow area.
Hope this helped , also check youtube videos of how to apply neutral eyeshadows and for applying makeup for first timers.

I think that trying makeup on with brushes for the first time is pretty hard. Blending is everything, so experiment by dabbing the color on your fingers and trying it on you eyelids.
It always takes practice.

How to make eyes pretty with eyeshadow, mascara eyeliner?
like either just those or some other things that look natural and pretty? i have blue eyes so not too dark please.
describe or show and pic and describe or just pic?
please%26amp;thanx.How to make eyes pretty with eyeshadow, mascara eyeliner?
Eyeshadow: First apply some concealer around the upper and lower lids of eyes. Second, choose a neutral/naked color or even gold as eyeshadow and apply on the upper lid from the inner corner of your eye to the end of your eye.
Eyeliner: Option 1- With the eyeshadow mentioned above, apply a brown eyeliner on the top line of your upper lid eyelashes. Option 2- Smear black eyeliner in the rims of upper and lower eyelids to give a ';smoky'; and more dramatic, evening look.
Mascara: Choose a brown or black colored mascara. Application - line the mascara brush to the bottom of your upper lid eyelashes and slowly lift up in a side-to-side motion. I suggest 2 coats for daytime and more for the evening.
First eyeshadow should be applied, then eyeliner, then mascara. If you want a more natural look, skip one of the above. Generally, a ';natural'; look involves simply mascara.
This is all in my opinion--keep in mind that everyone has their own style of applying makeup! How to make eyes pretty with eyeshadow, mascara eyeliner?

Ok, I bought this eyeshadow trio from Maxfactor yesterday in this color: http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/鈥?/a>

What eyeshadow colors work best to make my eyes stand out more?
i have green eyes, a pale complexion, and red hair. what eyeshadow colors would make my eyes stand out? What eyeshadow colors work best to make my eyes stand out more?
i have green eyes, auburn hair and tan skin and coppers, bronzes, shimmery golds and reddish browns make my eyes seem reallllly green. if i want my eyes to be light green then i use a white shimmery shadow and for some reason it makes my eyes look like light green marbles..its pretty cool!! go for shimmery (not glittery!) shades and try coppers, anything with orange or red undertones or light purples. dont use red or pink eye shadows because 95% of the time it makes u look like uve been crying or had an allergic reaction to sumthin. dont wear greens because that color doesnt make them pop..u want colors that are opposite of green on the color wheel...good luckWhat eyeshadow colors work best to make my eyes stand out more?
You could probably use a shade of green that is close to your eye color. Just remember, put it on lightly.. You don't wanna look like a clown.. lol
Then use a little mascara, maybe a little eyeliner. Either brown or black, to separate your eye color from your eye shadow.
Hmmm, a Gold, Silver, Brown, or Olive Green would work on your eyes to make them stand out, If your going out (during the evening) use the gold or silver.
go to hot topic or hottopic.com and get the bright glitter stuff! Its grate! I have lightly tan skin (and tan is soooo un hot) blue-gray eyes, and brown hair with black and pink streaks in it. I use the black/green/pink eyeshadow contaner!
Purple shades bring out green eyes the best!!
Oh, I know, I know!!!! I have also green eyes, pale skin (only in winter, now it's tanned :) ) and red hair. So I wear pink or lilac (light purple) eyeshadow. You know what, green and pink/lilac are opposite colors in the spectrum, so when they're together, they enhance each other. AND you should wear dark brown, not black mascara (black mascara looks good only with very dark or even black hair). And if you wear pink eyeshadow, you could wear lilac eyeliner, if you wear lilac eyeshadow - then pink eyeliner. GOOD LUCK!!!!
try going to revlon.com they have a starter color kit you enter in the type of features you have and they tell you what colors would go with your eyes, complexion, and hair color
I noticed everyone saying green - but what worse way to drown out your natural eye color than to put green around it - distracting attention. What you really want to do is use a color that brings OUT green - enhances it, not masks it. Yes, caramel colors are great - but for an evening look, try something with a hint of lavender in it (it doesn't have to be drastic purple.. but maybe a light shimmery lavender hue) to really make your green eyes pop. Or try lining your eyes with a plum liner instead of black or brown.
Warm caramels, golden browns, and golden yellows. Don't use pink, and blue, and green because then they blend in with your eyes, and pink just looks so 80's and 90's.
You should go with either a bronze or dark gold, or a plum shade. Bronze is flattering on everyone. To bring out green you want to go for a complimentary color from the color wheel (red for green). Obviously you don't want to wear red eyeshadow but you can go with ones that are on the red or warm side as opposed to blue or cool side (ie, plum and not violet). A little charcoal eyeliner would dress it up for a night time look. You can go to the covergirl website and they have a thing where you can make a model of yourself and then put all the different eye shadow colors on them to see what it would look like. This can give you an idea of what colors look best on your eyes that you will like. (It is called the mini makeup mirror) www.covergirl.com
purples make green eyes stand trust me try different shades of purple depending on your mood.
i know this because me and my friend had our make up done by a professional and my friend has green eyes and she said purple makes green eyes stand out
i have green eyes, auburn hair and tan skin and coppers, bronzes, shimmery golds and reddish browns make my eyes seem reallllly green. if i want my eyes to be light green then i use a white shimmery shadow and for some reason it makes my eyes look like light green marbles..its pretty cool!! go for shimmery (not glittery!) shades and try coppers, anything with orange or red undertones or light purples. dont use red or pink eye shadows because 95% of the time it makes u look like uve been crying or had an allergic reaction to sumthin. dont wear greens because that color doesnt make them pop..u want colors that are opposite of green on the color wheel...good luckWhat eyeshadow colors work best to make my eyes stand out more?

I would suggest coppers, golds, and bronzes. they compliment the blues in your eyes, which in turn makes the blue look brighter.
Definitely coppers and shades of brown. Black is also great for a more dramatic look.

What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?
can anyone tell me what the name of the stuff you can put on your eyes to help the eye shadow stay is???What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?
it's called a primer however they are usually expensive for what they are. just rub some liquid foundation over the lids and then dust some powder over them to set it and then apply eyeshadow. What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?
There are various 'primer' products on the market but I would use a tiny dot of foundation over the entire eyelid and up to the brow to create an even neutral look.
This is a good base for any eyeshadow and is pretty effective. It doesn't suit everyone but have a go with that first and if it's not right for you then go and invest in a specific eye primer.
i use bare minerals
put that on
then eye shadow
then liner
then mascara
the base cover sets my shadow and liner
primer
primer?
urban decay primer potion, would be your best bet:)
apply a oil free lotion on you're whole face this will help makeup last longer. [:

How do I suppose to wear my eyeshadow or eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger?
on the top of your eyelid, draw a thin line with eyeliner right above the eyelashes, and keep carrying it out like a couple millimeters after your eye lid ends. do it on the bottom of the eyelashes too, on the part of skin that touches your eye, and the same on the bottom eyelid, above the eyelashes. curl your eyelashes up on the top, but dont touch the bottom ones. idk if you can picture what i'm saying, but yeah. it works. How do I suppose to wear my eyeshadow or eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger?

This will get your eyes looking much bigger and brighter. How do I suppose to wear my eyeshadow or eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger?
to make your eyes look bigger its best to place the eyeliner on top of your eyelashes. make a line right above the eyelashes. like the egyptians used to do.
for eye shadow, you could shade it certain areas to make the color come out more or to just make them more noticeable.
This question is my forte. Apply all your base make up first, concealer/foundation/powder or whatever you use. I don't know the color of your eyes, so the color of eye shadow depends on that. With that said:
1) Take a light eyeshadow (I use a cream color- like off white) and apply it to your eye lid as usual. Then apply the same color along your bottom lid.
2) Then take her eye liner and line the top- make the line thicker on the outside of your eye and draw it thinner as you go in towards your nose. Do the same for the bottom. Slightly thicker on the outsides and thinner as you go in (Best if you don't even apply eye liner to your ENTIRE bottom lid, instead start on the outsides and stop when your 2/3rds of the way in.)
3) Then take a darker eye shadow and apply it to the crease of your eye lid. This adds depth.
4) Add mascara and you're done!
This might seem overly long and complicated, but it takes me no more than 5 minutes to do. I get comments about my eyes almost daily and people have stopped me several times and asked me how to do eye make up.
If you have blonde hair/blue eyes use a light gold for the base eye shadow and a brown for the darker shade. Brown eye liner is the best. These colors make blue eyes really pop!
For brown hair/ brown eyes. Stick with neutral colors. Like a white or cream base and dark brown for the crease. (Hazel eyes look best if you use a plum color in the crease. It will bring out all the green specks, but it can be hard to make it look right for somewho doesn't use make up alot).
Tip: Never use the eye shadow applicator that comes with eye shadows! It will look to heavy and not blended at all. Use a bristle eye shadow brush always, your make up will blended. And stay clear of eye shadows that are shimmery! It looks cheap and only works SOMETIMES if you're really tan. Matted colors are the best 9 out of 10 times.
What I do is I put white eyeliner on the inner corners of my eyes and I only line the bottom half of my eye in black.
Just line the top only with black liner and black mascara only on top lashes. Lining both top and bottom tends to make eyes look smaller.
wear black eyeshadow. or dark grey. just make sure to put on eyeliner first, then take a brush and sort of close your eye but sweep the brush with black eyeshadow across your crevice where the bone ends and your eyeball begins. i really suck at describing things but i've done this for years and it really works. also, if you put white eyeshadow or something on top of the eyeliner line, it will make them look HUGE
The key to making your eyes look bigger is to line them on top, not underneath!
Your best bet is to use a liquid eyeliner and draw it as thin as possible. For eye shadow, you should use a darker shade of eyeshadow in the crease. The darker shade should complement and flow together with the shade you have on most of your eyelid. The darker color will give your eyes more depth. Good luck!
BRING OUT THE WHITES OF YOUR EYES. Draw a fine line with eyeliner along the upper lash line for definition. Line lower lids with a nude or very light color liner to make the whites of your eyes brighter and open them up. Curl lashes, add mascara and comb to separate for the maximum eyeopening effect.
Eyeliner can make even the smallest eyes appear larger. Applying it correctly is key, you don't want the line to be too dark, harsh and obvious or you risk looking overdone.
To make eyes appear wider, trace the inner rims of eyes with a white pencil.
Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow.
Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.
Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.
Line the lower lids. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line on the outer two-thirds of the lid or more, depending on the look you're going for. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area. If using a liquid liner, apply it in one smooth stroke. Apply less color so your eyes don't appear raccoonlike.
You may find eyeliner, particularly the liquid version, difficult and messy the first few times. Practice and have patience.
Wash brushes regularly with makeup remover or a mild gel shampoo.
Lining the inside of the lower lid is not recommended'it may cause eye infections, and it greatly increases the risk of getting makeup in your eye.
Where eyeliner on your eyelid, right above your eyelashes. and curl your eyelashes to make your eyes look even bigger.
Right Above Your Under Eye lashes is a line of plain skin apply waterproof eyeliner right there and for eye shadow put darker colors by your eyeliner on the top of you eyelids and lighter colors above the darker (it may seen like alot of make up but if you get it just right it is gorgeous)

How can I make the color of my powder eyeshadow richer?
I have beautiful shades of powder eyeshadow, but I put it on and it's not as rich as I would like, almost see-through. How can I make the color more powerful? Do I transform it into a cream shadow? Use a primer? How can I make the color of my powder eyeshadow richer?
Try putting water on your brush, it makes the colors look bolder.
Or you could use a white eyeshadow stick like NYX Jumbo Pencil. It intensifies the color. Just apply it to the lid and then apply the eyeshadow you want. However, I hear that NYX Jumbo pencils crease so make sure you use a primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. How can I make the color of my powder eyeshadow richer?
Use Lise Watier Metamorphix Liquid. It transforms any powder into a liquid - it's so good you could even use it as liner! It goes on as thick as you mix it, and if you don't like the transparency the first time, you can apply layer upon layer until you like it.
That in combination with an eye primer, you will be good to go! It's an amazing product
Yes, you need to use a primer! The sell a few options at sephora! I also like the Mac one
but another tip is to buy a white shadow and apply it under the shimmery one.
but primers are great because they help with even it up the shadow and they also stay longer. Also it helps to keep your eyeliner in place and smudge free
good luck hun! I also love shimmery shadows, so girly!!!
use a primer on your lids before applying the eyeshadow. then apply some fix plus or visine on your brush before applying the eyeshadow. if you don't have fix plus or visine or you don't want to spend the money, just put water on the brush. its not as effective but its better than nothiing
you can try and put a little chapstick (weird i know) on your eye lids and then apply th powder eyeshadow. It worked for me..i heard it somewhere but dont remember where
you can put water on the brush, wipe some of it off so that it's damp and then put on your eyeshadow. It'll make it much bolder! :)

How can I make really bright eyeshadow or make a dull color bright/shiny? I can't afford to currently go out and buy some new colors. How can I make my eyeshadow...?
Using a primer can really help. It is under the eyeshadow. It makes the color brighter and also lasts longer. A cheap primer is using vaseline or using your concealer/foundation. You can also buy primers. Another idea is using a light or neutral cream eyeshadow. Good luck! How can I make my eyeshadow...?

I have eyes so dark they are almost black-
dark green always seem to make them look amazing and really pop.
MACs Humid is a great shimmery green color- but a cheaper alternative is NYX mermaid green, they are exact duplicates.
And for an inexpensive eyeshadow brand, try out any NYX eyeshadows. They are available on cherryculture.com. Most are just as pigmented and smooth as MAC eyeshadows!
well kinda do like a darkish kinda brown or like natural orangish

What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
My eyes are a really dark brown. They look almost black because they are so dark
Also so my boyfriend will look at them and say wow??What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
Soft pink will really bring your eyes out. Keep eyeliner to a minimum - just use it to lightly frame your eyes. Avoid black
Also, dark brown eyes look stunning lined in shades of plum (mix with a pale mauve shadow), aubergine (mix with a shimmery light pink shadow), raisin (mix with a mushroomy soft brown shadow) or charcoal , just remember to combine with a lighter shadow or your eyes may look more dramatic. What color eyeliner and eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes look really pretty?
Hi, I have dark green eyes so I know how hard it can be to work with a dark color. I think you should try to use maybe a light blue, or maybe a you could use a beige or some tones of brown or some greens but be careful because really light light colors like light pink or baby pink may not work too well.
Black liquid eyeliner, eyeshadows : tanish, bronze, beige, silver, grey, black.
i have black eyes too... but you dint mention the tone of your skin... i think black eyeliner and brown mascara should be perfect for you... eyeshadow usually will be cool if it matches your dress but with black i usually like browns and light pinks... light pink makes you look more girlyyyy... browns usually go with all dress colors and for all occassions...
brown eyeliner and teal, silvery eyeshadow. it'll make your eyes stand out wonderfully! also a bit of dark brown mascara and peachy blush
You'd be surprised.
But dark eyed girls do look good in dark colours.
Try using natural colours such as brown or gold. (I know gold isn't so natural)
Also, don't put it all over your eyes..try doing it just above your lashes so that it shows and excentuates your eyes but doesn't make you look gothic. I do it sometimes with browns and dark blues.
Shiny/shimmery colours such as gold and copper look really nice too. As far as the eyeliner goes...Don't put too much. Put just enough for it to blend in with your eyelashes so that it looks like you have on a bit of mascara.
It works every time.
black eyeliner and a smokey brown eyeshadow in the crease and a pretty gold on the lid. also use a few coats of black mascara. it would look great.
eyeliner- black or black/brown on top and bottom
eyeshadow- cocoa for your browbone and a pastel pink for your eyelids and around your eyeliner.
Also try a baby blue eye color to accent your eyes- in the crease of your eyelid.

Here's the dealio. I have a freakish makeup obsession. I'm pretty damn good and the crazy makeup-ad-worthy stuff. I basically focus on eyes. So here it goes I guess. I'll describe a really relaxed 3 minute look that I do. :]
I have clear, relatively good skin, so I don't really use foundation at all, just a moisturizer. I like a hint of color so I use a nice tinted one. I use chapstick to keep my lips soft and then a nice gloss in a light tone. I like Victoria's Secrets lip glosses, personally. My favorite is the Candy, Baby! one, it's light pink. Beautiful color.
I am not afraid to do crazy bold eyeshadow, it's who I am and everyone accepts that and seems to like it, so I invest in good makeup from places like Ulta and Sephora. My favorite brands are Urban Decay, Mac, Nars and Too Faced and such. I always use a pale shimmery pearl towards the inside of my eyelids and, since we're going for a really calm relaxed look, then blend it into a shimmery tan or shimmery pinkish tan in the middle, blending still outward into a deeper shimmery brown. I thennn apply black eyeliner in a relatively thin line all the way around my eyes, because I have the big-ish almond shaped eyes and the overall 'brown' look [brown hair, eyes and skin, when I take the time to be in the sun ;D] and it doesn't look crappy and goth to have eyeliner all the way around. Then I apply 2 coats of that Maybelline 'The Colossal Volum' Express' in 'Glam Black' . :]
If you're feeling a bit more adventurous you can do the same type of eyeshadow with colors, which is what I usually do. :D
Orrr, for a more simple look that plays up the lips rather than eyes, do a shimmery cream light pink eyeshadow [Try Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse in Heavenly Pink, it's what I use], rim your eyes with a thin line of black eyeliner, do 2 coats of black mascara and smooth on some pinkish redish gloss. I like Too Faced Mood Swing. :]

Gold, purple, and brown look good with brown eyes.I have brown eyes and hair and i wear a lot of gold and brown eyeshadow.
I'd gow ith a shimmery gold or a deep maroon with shiny untones. They make the red/gold underlights in most brown eyes pop so they look chocolately and delicious

What eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes stand out more?
My eyes are a light gold/green color, and they are deep set..what colors should I use to make them stand out more, and appear larger? And what color should I use to highlight under my eyebrows? Every time I apply light eyeshadow under my brows it looks fake!
Thanks! What eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes stand out more?
if you want to bring out the gold specs in your eyes stick with bronzy colors...put a shimery tan all over your eye lid and they to bring out the depth but a darker bronze color in the crease and use brown mascara and eyeliner. To bring out the green use a light green all over your eyelids then use a darker forest green in the crease and for mascara and and eyeliner use purple but not crazy funky purples use plums...make sure your eyeshadow is always shimmery because it will look best with the gold specs in your eyes. And the best beauty trick i've ever tried is using slightly shimery cream almost white colors in the inner corners of your eyes and right underneath your eyebrow. when u enhance with white your eyes look bigger and the brow bone more defined. and always curl your eyelashes! And as far as brands go... Physicians Formula or Merell Norman for eyeshadows, Urban Decay or CoverGirl for eyeliners, Lash Blast Mascara by Cover girl or Lancome Double Ended MascaraWhat eyeshadow should I use to make my eyes stand out more?
purple because it is the closest thing to red which is opposite green on the colour wheel.opposite colours on the colour wheel such as green is opposite to red make each other stand out but i doubt you want to wear red eyeshadow?so purples are good option to make ur eyes stand out.as ur eyes are hazel (green and gold) your colouring is warm so a pale/soft gold would look natural as a highlighter for your eyebrows x
I have deep set eyes,I use a light color but not all over the lid,and I never do under my brows because I'm naturally light there.sometimes I'll put a little luminous cream on my lid.(like wet n'wild cream blush)If your eyes are quite large you could line the top and bottom to make them stand out more
Try the new Almay eyeshadows that are designed specifically for green eyes (they also have ones for blue and brown). I haven't tried them, but I heard that they work well.
Violet tones also works well for green eyes.
purples, pinks, browns, and corals
Use a light tan or off white colour! and blend the colours together using a 'window wiper' motion so you do not have a line wear the makeup ends.
pinks, purples, amber colors, and also put some white in your tear duct and on your water line. try a line brown for highlighting your brow
think you should put silver eyeshadow on top of your eyes.
shades of purple and pinkchi hair

What eyeshadow colors or brands will make my eyes pop?
I always get compliments on my eyes but I don't know what shade to use to really make them stand out. I have blue grey eyes that occasionally have a green tint. Any specific colors or shades anyone recommends? What eyeshadow colors or brands will make my eyes pop?
Oh yeah, purple would look smashing. Purple Pop by Covergirl. I have brown eyes, and it makes them look awesome. May I also suggest maybe a brownish red? What eyeshadow colors or brands will make my eyes pop?
i have that colour of eyes and i think most colours suit tbh,
but greeney blues, purple, green, blue, and golden colours work really well. black really makes them stand out though and is a contrast to the pale colour.
i lovelovelove urban decay because they have tons and tons of colours especially oilslick, flipback, flash, and midnight cowboy rides again.
i also love mac my favourite being the mineralize eye shadow quad in fashion patch. it has 4 merged eyeshadow colours : ice blue, off white, black shimmer and light white pink.
hope this helps :)
x
Your eyes sound beautiful! I would say a brown eyeliner, with a green eyeshadow, if you want to bring out green, or purple to bring out blue. The brown works with your eye color to make it pop.
You may want to look into Almay's eye color collection. They have sets for each eye color. I use the 'bring out the brown' set, because I have brown eyes.
definitly nottttt purples. purples are only good for hazels and browns.
for your shade i suggest teals, and navy blues, silvers, greys, maybe a olive green, darker colors most definitley. purples would be acceptable i guess but not really a friend to your color.
brands
if money isnt an issue get some MAC eye shadows
but covergirl and other brands work just as well
borwns can tend to really brigthenn up green eyes and gray eyes but if u have blue eyes then try purple , purple really birghtens up blue eyes but in general since u said ur eyes are blue/grey with a hint of green then i reocmmend try shades of gold , bronze or brown these tend to make light eye colors pop out more hope this helps
my eyes are the same colour, and i always wear black/dark eyeshadow and smudge them to make it look really smokey,
get a lot of compliments from people saying that my eyes really stand out... you should give it a tryy :)
pinks and browns are great for blue eyes. purple is great for green!
i'd go with a lot of shades of brown.. mac has a nice selection. :)

What colour eyeshadow should i wear to make make my dark blue eyes pop?
Hello. I just need to know about colours for makeup in general. I have dark blue, almost navy eyes with some grey undertones. What colours should i wear to make my eyes pop. Also my skin is quite pale and i have bronze hair. What colour lipstick should i wear? (my natural lip colour is reddish but can look pink in some light)What colour eyeshadow should i wear to make make my dark blue eyes pop?
In order to make your eye color pop, you have to use eyeshadow that is the opposite color on the color wheel.
.
Go with browns, or even bronzes...any color in the contrasting color category will make the initial color stand out!
.
You might also wanna go with a brown eyeliner. Navy eyeliner, however, will make the whites of your eyes appear brighter! What colour eyeshadow should i wear to make make my dark blue eyes pop?
I would use browns and tans on your eyes. Blues and greens will not make your eyes pop but try more neutrals and let your eye color be the main focus.
I would use a soft pink lip color. I'm not exactly sure what your referring to as bronze, but I'm picturing a golden brown with your fair skin, a light pink will make you look more natural and very beautiful.
Probably brown;)
I have light blue eyes and they usually pop with purple and brown, and sometimes red.
You should use a medium pink for lipstick.
I think that a violet or brown eye shadow colour would work best.
i have dark blue eyes and those colours really make them stand out.
brown eyeliner looks amazing too.

Whats the best color eyeshadow to make my eyes stand out more?
I have really light blue eyes and can't seem to find a suitable color that works with them w/o being overpoweringWhats the best color eyeshadow to make my eyes stand out more?
For light blue eyes, you should stick with subtle gray or subtle brown eyeshadow colors. Usr the darkest of these hues on the lids, then go lighter as you get further from the eye, with the very lightest (almost a beige or cream color) beneath the actual eyebrow.
For evening make-up, you can substitute the subtle colors for darker colors to get a more dramatic effect.Whats the best color eyeshadow to make my eyes stand out more?
if you outline your eyes in white, it should makes them look bigger, if thats what you meant as to having them stand out. if you use a rediculous about of black makeup, that also makes your eyes look pretty big, but im sure thats not what youre talking about. Report Abuse
bronzish/brownish.
Keep it more natural. Light or med. Brow, tan or some Grey. Line those eyebrows to emphasize (biggie). And make sure they are shaped. Some liner but not to thick--just above and some dashes on lower eye. Some can use blue liner--again keep it soft. Highlighter on high brow. Mascara ( we don't know what color your hair is--maybe a little blue on tip of lash)--and curl those lashes. You can do more for an evening out but on the whole keep it natural looking. You'll be happier.
I think you will find the less you use the better. And time might make you cut out many of the products you thought you needed.. Just my view but I like it soft. And who needs a melting face in the summer? Unless you work somewhere where more is wanted--do more natural.
How are your cheekbones? Blush always can bring eyes out more.
Hairstyle? Go have a makeover see if you like anything.
Go to some of the better stores often they offer free make up consultation (be careful here --usually they are over doers) Take what you like--turn down anything you don't. I hate dark lipsticks and nails but they always want to use it on me at the stores. Just not me. . It is up to you. in many ways--what feels good to you. . For myself the less I used make-up -the less I felt I needed it.
try navy blue eyeshadow! i heard its great for everyone! it defenitly worked for me.
try earthy colours like bronze or tan..it will make your eyes stand out as it is the opposite colour family to your blue coloured eyes
a dark color or a light green
use a silvery/grey to make them pop!!

What color eyeshadow can I use to make my eyes seem more blue?
I have greyish blue eyes with a weird grahm-cracker colored band around my pupil (but it's really small and you can olny see it when I stare into a light or something). I would like something subtle (really subtle! I'm still a kid!), as well as easy and fast to apply. What color eyeshadow can I use to make my eyes seem more blue?
different shades of blue or green might work. What color eyeshadow can I use to make my eyes seem more blue?
As a pro photographer, I would have thought, grey or silver, any darker and you will detract from your blue eyes
look at all those stars who have blue eyes and a similar complexion to yours
You have not said you are a black or a white or other race.
This is very important as the texture/tone of your skin colour of your face and eye colour had to be matched. If you are white, light shade of Burgundy would project your blue eyes better.
don't use a any shade of blue to match the blue in your eyes.. for light eyes use shades of brown, taupe and bronze
hi, i don't know how old you are, but i'm thirteen...if you have a graham cracker color around your pupil, then use a brownish color of eyeliner...or you can use a shimmery grey color of eyechadow...that should help....and it would be fast to apply...just swipe the eyeshadow across the lid of the eye with your finger...
light blue
I think it is covergirl that has a new line of make up were they have certain makeup for a certain eye color etc.
blue
you have nice eyes no need 4 makeup around them
I agree with soldiers girl. Go with browns. I have blue eyes and I always were dark eyeshadow sometimes black depending on my plans for the evening. But then again I'm a grown woman and I like dramatic eyes. Since you said you were still a kid (assuming teenager) I would look for a grahm-cracker color like you said the ring was. That would look hot. Good luck and have fun with it. Play around until you find something you like. It's soooo much fun being a girl.
you can try teal or gray eyeliner/eyeshadow
gold....it's the compliment.
Well, I'd Have to say wear either brown, or Blue, grey black, white. but not all blotched on.
Blue !!! x
purple.
I like more earthy tones.I think brown would be good.Cover your whole lid with a light beige color, then put a medium brown in the crease.Same goes with a bronze color.I like the earthy tones on blue eyes.
Never use blue eye shadow. It isn't flattering. It makes it look like your eyes are ice cubes. My abvice is to us a dark brown eyeliner and just a hint of neutral eyeshadow. You don't want to over do it.
try a complementry color
Here's colors that will flatter blue eyes.
Blue eyes, shades of brown, camel, and taupe will make the blue appear even more blue.

I have blue eyes and I like to wear blue. It makes them look more natural and brings them out. I only like smoky and grayish blues.
Almay makes different color combination eye shadows to compliment certain eye colors. I have blue eyes and I bought it...it works pretty well. For blue eyes they make a brown, then dark blue and light blue combination. There is also an eye liner and mascara if you want to buy those too. But basically if you apply the three colors in the right way (which isn't hard) it'll make your eyes stand out. Try it and let me know what you think!
BLue will do
I guess that yous should use either natural color or just a blue color. Both i think will help.
I think that a pretty peachy shade would be nice or a light silvery grey. A pretty lilac/lavender would probably be great, too. Almay makes shadow trios called Intense i-color that are designed for specific eye colors but I gotta say I don't like them and none of my friends really cared for them either. But just because they didn't work for us doesn't mean they won't work for you. =)
i would do a light cocoa color(brownish) b/c that way it will help bring them out...if u do a blue eye shadow..the color of your eyes will no longer stand out..instead the eyeshadow will. go to covergirl.com and they have a section that tells your what would look best on your particular face based on the questions they ask you before giving the results
well i am a kid to and i like using glitter and pinks but that is just me i think you could use something maybe like a light blue or green i am not sure but what i do is go though my moms makeup and experiment! good luck!
To make you eyes stand out more and for them to seem more blue you could wear the color white on your eyes or another light, light color.
I find I receive the most compliments about my blue eyes when wearing a glimmery pale taupe or sheer pale violet eyeshadow. Blue and green seem to detract from, rather than enhance the color of blue eyes.
I have dark blue eyes, and wear browns, plums and greens. I have heard good things about the Far East Sunset shades from Mary Kay for making any color eyes ';pop';
Well, of course blue eye shadow! But, you can try using lavender,i tried it before and it make me look fabulous! If you still some more blue essence, try using blue eye contacts.
different shades of blue or green might work.

What color eyeshadow and eyeliner will make brown eyes stand out?
SMOKY EYES:
you cant go wrong with dark matted colours. the smokey eye look is great and so easy to achieve when you know how.
youll need: eye primer (you dont NEED it but its best for keeping your eyeshaddow put), two shaddows (one light, one dark), eyeliner, eyeshaddow brush and mascara.
firstly youll need to prep the lid, this is the key to keeping your eyeshaddow put all day long. this will also stop your shaddow melting into your eyelid crease after a few hours. to do this, start wil an eyeshaddow base/primer. try MAC's prep and prime eye or fresh freshface perfecting eye primer.
then youll need to apply eyeliner. if your going for a typical black, brown or grey smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colours above your lash line, making the line thicker in the middle of the eye. if you want to go for something a little different ie a jewel-toned colour, then violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye, so line the eyes with a purple, blue, or deep green liner. again, mac make great eyeliners but i also like ones by tigi, maybelline and loreal, so experiment untill you find something you like using.
then blend in the colour on the bottom of your lashes. for colour on the bottom (a key smoky eye look) youll need a lighter eyeliner. the key is to smudge it slightly. you can also apply a bit of shaddow to get a full smudge effect. personally, i find rimmel eyeshaddows great and theyre reasonably priced too!
next, apply a light base colour. again, the key to the smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with a darker hue. i prefer nice cream shades for my base which are very readily available. sweep a light, shimmery shaddow over your lids to your brow bone. try stilla's whipped eye shaddows. they are of a kind of mousse consistency and really do seem to stay on forever. taupe and pearl are must-have colours.
now blend in the darker colour, but keep the colour below the crease or youll risk looking like you have two black eyes. now that you have the base and eyeliner on, its time to get the smokey effect. you need a darker shade of eyeshaddow for this. using an eyeshaddow brush, blend in colour starting at your lash line and blending up. make sure to blend colour into the lash line so the eyeliner dissapears. stop the deep colour at the crease. then just double check your work to check that your eyes match and you can even blend the colour with a cotton bud if you want.
almost done. finish with several coats of volumising mascara like dior's show mascara or loreal paris volume shocking mascara.
...one more thing, remember to keep your lips to a nude colour otherwise you may end up looking a bit like a drag queen lol.
PRETTY EYES:
pretty, springtime eyes can be created using some of the new pastel, frosted eyeshaddow colours. try some of the new offbeat colours like pink or yellow. use them to line all the way around your eyes.
again, firstly youll need to prep the lid, this is the key to keeping your eyeshaddow put all day long. this will also stop your shaddow melting into your eyelid crease after a few hours. to do this, start wil an eyeshaddow base/primer. try MAC's prep and prime eye or fresh freshface perfecting eye primer. then the rest is simple, just apply your colour, if you want two seperate colours then remember to blend, blend, blend. finish off with some brown or black mascara and there you have it, another great look.
this look is great for eyes that are close set, use lighter coloured eyeshaddow on the inner portion of the lid towards the nose and darker eyeshaddow on the outer edge of the lid. (reverse technique should be used to apply eyeshaddow for widely spaced eyes).
NEUTRAL COLOURS:
the best make-up colours for brown eyes are actually neutrals. try colours in the brown family like taupes and peaches. l'oreal do some lovely neautral shades. try to somewhat coordinate your look. i dont mean your shaddow should be beige, your blush should be beige, and your lipstick should be beige. i dont mean a monotone colour, just a coordinated one.
apply primer as described previously. apply eyeliner under the eyes (above eyelashes) and a thin line above the eyes close to the eyelashes. grab your eyeshadow brush that is thinnest and dab it in the eyeshadow. raise your eyebrows, find the crease of your upper eyelid (where you might feel the bone for the top of your eye socket), and then take the brush and line it with the eyeshadow. do it as if you're holding a pencil and you're using it to draw on your eyes. do this to make a half circle above your eyes. (don't go too far out to the side of your face when doing this step).
to do the bottom part of the eyeshadow, take out your thin brushed eyeshadow brush again and dab it in your black eyeshadow. (tap it on the rim to get rid of excess eyeshadow that could fall off the brush and leave unattractive black spots of eyeshadow under your eyes or on your cheeks!) with one easy motion, start by putting the brush under your bottom lashes and sweeping it from side to side in a straight motion to create the point under the eye on both sides.
touch up by making sure no excess eyeshadow fell onto unwanted places on your face and adding a little concealer to seal the deal. and you're done!
COORDINATE YOUR COLOURS:
if you are wearing shaddows from the brown family, try a peach blush. if you are wearing a more colourful shaddow like violet or blue, use a berry or rose coloured blush. keep like colours together: muted with muted. bright with bright.
make-up for brown eyes really has no rules. when selecting an eyeliner, you can go with dark browns for a natural look and black for a more intense look. you can frame your eyes with tons of mascara and not end up looking all panda eyed. play it up and emphasize it all you want.
hope this helps
xWhat color eyeshadow and eyeliner will make brown eyes stand out?
Step 1 Shop for shades that complement your skin and eye color. Look for colors that softly contrast with the shade of your eyes - not colors that match them exactly.
Step2 Choose simple, natural shades. If you opt for bright or trendy colors, be careful; they can look unnatural unless balanced with other suitable tones, and may go out of style as fast as they came in.
Step3 Buy colors that blend well together. You want your eyes to attract the attention, not any marked lines caused by your shadow.
Step4 Keep in mind that dark colors will minimize your eyes, while light shades will make them stand out.
Step5 Consider soft browns and tans with sandy or pink undertones for blue eyes.
Step6 Wear khaki and brown shades with yellow undertones for green eyes.
Step7 Accent dark brown and black eyes with brown and charcoal shadows.
Step8 Experiment. Head to a department store's cosmetic counter and have your eyes made up by a professional. Ask for color combinations that could work for day and evening. What color eyeshadow and eyeliner will make brown eyes stand out?
You should avoid colours that match your iris as this will compliment, not contrast.
You should wear eyeliner a shade darker than your eyeshadow, or for evenings you could wear metallic silver or gold eyeshadow for a glamorous look.
These colours will definietely make you eyes pop:
Plum, violet, champagne, baby pink.
Navy blue, baby blue, turqoise, dark green.
Silver or gold in evenings.
You could put white eyeliner on the lower inside rim of your eye to make them realllly stand out.
Hope this helps x
Purple, metalics, grays, gold, pink, green, and blue. Personally, I think the purple provides one of the nicest, subtlest contrasts (if you get it in a darker shade) and makes eyes pop.
I'm sorry but I cant help but laugh when reading alot of answers i see to people who want make-up advice. 80% of people don't know what they are on about and giving people wrong advice.
I'm gonna tell you this.
ANYTHING Blue willl bring out your brown eyes.
ANYTHING Brown will bring out blue eyes.
The complete opposite to your eyecolor is what will bring your eyes out.

the photo labled ';Smokey eyes';
would be a great look for you...if your goin out somewhere or somthin.
I would recommend purple, because the more golden and lighter tones in your eyes will totally pop on a purple background (complimentary colours). However if your eyes have more auburn and bronze tones, a green would also do the trick.

Purple works well with brown eyes because its contrasts with the eye colour making them stand out.
I have just added a new post on my blog about making eyes stand out it's probably worth looking at,

;)
Depends what colour you hair is. If it's light, a dark colour like black eyeshadow will work. If dark, use a bright colour like the suggested green.
purple liner totally rocks with brown eyes! I use it and always get comlpliments.and somehow it looks more natural and not tacky! :)
a slight shade of purple (subtle) on your lids then natural near your brow. brown christian dior show mascarar. stunning
lilac colors, white/light tan, watch out for light blues and pinks,
they can look tacky, depends on the quality and how you apply it :)
I use emerald greens, rosey pink, and gold tones. They just make my eyes pop right out.
black and eletric blue..
i have brown eyes and always get ';ahh your eyes are lovely!!';
Potassium Purple.
