How can you make your eyeshadow long lasting?

thee.qam... -

Wow! You have been keeping up with allthatglitters21 from youtube, no? Because your answer sounded completely like her latest video... LOLHow can you make your eyeshadow long lasting?
Urban Decay Primer Potion acts as an adhesive and makes your eyeshadow look so much brighter. I love it.How can you make your eyeshadow long lasting?
you can use a eye shadow primer, face concealer or those cream eye shadows and put it on top of that..
A tinyyyy bit of Vaseline always does the trick for me!!
i use the mac paint pot (soft ochre) as a base and it keeps my eyeshadow on very good, all day most times. it also helps if you get oily or whatever. you should try it.
Get a primer. I'm not sure if you can purchase them from drugstores but nonetheless... Primers help makeup stay longer on your face .
i use my foundation or a coat of vaseline if your dont wear foundation.
This is kinda weird but works! Use a clear chapstick on your eyelids before you put on your eyeshadow. It makes it stick and last longer :)
A base, some people use foundation. For myself I use white eyeliner, works really well except on red, it makes red look pink
You would need to use something as a base for the eyeshadow to stick. That way, it'll look more vibrant and won't crease.

I recommend Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. You can also try MAC's paintpots and things like cream shadow before you apply the eyeshadow.

Hope I helped :)
its called urban decay magic potion its in a purple container and looks like a lip gloss stick and put a little bit on your eyes. it makes the eyeshadow brighter and last longer.
rub lotion all over your face and on eye lids. and put enough on.
  • How to enhance my brown skinwhat type of skin care should i get
  • How can i make my eyeshadow or makeup more interesting?

well lately i havent been doing anything to exciting or interesting. all i do is my liquid eyeliner, mascara and eyeliner. im really good at doing makeup tho and i used to do it really well in middle school i just stoped for some reason. and once in a while i do a brown smokey eye but i want to do somthing diffrent..

any ideasHow can i make my eyeshadow or makeup more interesting?
Switch to deep purple, navy blue or bright teal eyeliner and wear it with lots of black mascara. When you do a smoky eye, do it with grays, purples, greens or blues instead of browns. Get your eyebrows professionally waxed so someone else can interpret them for you for a nice change. Switch up your lipstick too. If you always wear nude or sheer, switch to red, and vice versa. As for blush, skip it once in a while and use a little highlighter and/or a nice bronzer instead. The possibilities are endless, so have fun!How can i make my eyeshadow or makeup more interesting?
Experiment with colors. If you're feeling really brave, ditch the eyeliner and try some metallic eyeshadow with some lengthening mascara. Or, if you just want regular shadow, still don't be afraid to go for it! Now that it's almost winter, I like to go for blues, purples, and anything that's smoky (gray or silver), with glossy lips. But experimenting is key!
Try to use a bright eye liner like yellow, green, pink, blue etc..

But everywhere else on your eyes use dark colors like black or brown.

It helps if you double your eyeliner. Like, first putting on black eyeliner then underneath, put a bright color.

Then, you could get black eye shadow and put a little swag on the corner of your eye.

It makes your eyes stand out and brings more good reaction to your face.
I use a lot of bright colors on my eyes.

Bright fun colors like greens and blues and pinks really liven up your entire image.

You can even use more than one color, or colors that are completely opposites.

There's a lot of things you can do with make-up, just experimant a little!
    use fun colors!\\

How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?

I normally use subtle colors such as light to medium browns, as well as white eyeshadow. How can I make these colors pop a little bit more, instead of looking too natural? How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?
Here's what one of my 2 best friends does, and everyone notices her make-up!! A TON!

She does like a white color that shines a lot, then she puts eye-liner on the bottom and top, and lots of mascara! i do the same thing, but sometimes i replace the white with brown! :)))

It willl look ADORABLE if you do it correctly.

i got it from her, and we BOTH LOVE how it turns out! :)How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?
For eye shadows to really stand out, they need to have a little more contrast to your skin tone. So you'd be better off investing in more dramatic colors if you really want the eye shadows to pop.

Even if you wanted the keep the same colors but jazz them up a bit, you'd still have to get something more, like shimmer.

If you can do a wet application of the eye shadows (some can and some can't), that will darken the colors a little bit and make them more dramatic.

It might help to use the white as a base to build the browns on top of, but if the browns blend really well with your skin tone, I'm not sure the white will make too much of a difference. If the white has a lot of pigment and perhaps a bit of shimmer, it might add enough contrast to the browns for them to stand out more.

Keep the browns in the crease, and allow the white to be right up against your lashes. If you pair it with a darker liner, that would help too.
mmmm.. making subtle neutral eyeshadows pop.

abit hard ain't it when you said it is subtle.

depending on how are your brown tones. If it's too subtle or not enough pigment you'll realise nothing will pop, no matter how much you put.

White is not considered a colour. If you want to use white, you have to be careful. Too much of it will make your eye look smaller coz it washes out the skin area around the eyes.

Try to use a neutral SKIN tone eye shadow across the whole eye area. Apply a mid-tone taupe from the end of the eye and sweep it in, following the eye socket area. This will create illusion of depth.

Line the eye with a dark eyeliner (Dark khaki green, dark navy, pewter gunsmoke greys or pitchdark blacks will all work), will help bring defination to the eyes. Curl and sweep on generous amounts of mascara will bring more detail onto your peeps.

EYEBROWS must be drawn to complete the whole eye look.
you might just be using one color at a time thats why

try to play it up a bit

try different shades of that brown and maybe a color close to it like gold or a peachy color

use the brown for the lid

peachy natural color on the eye brow bone area place.haha

and in the crease use another ype of brow

idk u have to use colors right %26amp; thats the key

i like doing my makeup with browns cus there is so much to do

i actually have a picture of how i did mines

%26amp;%26amp; yes its mine did myself

    :]

    hope i helped

oh %26amp; also try going on youtube to find a tutorial for how to applly makeup
you could try like a gold color all over the lid with your medium browns in your crease and outer-v. gold is also a natural color but with a bit more color.

    answer my question please:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
dip the tip of your brush in water and then dip it in the eye shadow, it will make the colour look more bold.

Try putting a little Vaseline over the colour on your lids to help brighten the eyeshadow and it will also keep the colour applied longer

    :o)
make them contrast alot from each other--

and put the white eyeshadow on your brow bone (right underneath your eyebrow)

the brown should be in the crease (right the eyelids when eyes are opened)

you could also make them contrast by making your eyeliner the contrasting color.
    try using two subtle colors.

place a lighter color near your lash line and a darker color ontop.

    this makes it pop.

make sure your buying the right color for your skin tone eeye and hair color

    :)
white on the corner then medium brownish shade then a dark color on the end use a really light pink allong the brow :D
    wear more

or buy sparkles and putt a little :]

    or

put the white on the inside corner of your eyes

    orrr

you could try buying that color in a brighter shade

What color eyeshadow helps make blue AND green stand out?

my eyes change color from a bright blue to a blueish-green constantly...

What color eyeshadow goes with both?

Links are best!!!What color eyeshadow helps make blue AND green stand out?
Well, It's not necessarily the color of your eyes, but the size and shape of your eye, and style that use to shade the eyelids. I prefer a mixture of a medium to dark brown shaded with light pink or tan colors on the upper lid. (Example is Cafe Au Lait #105 from Covergirl: Looks great on everyone!! ( http://www.covergirl.com/products/product.jsp?productId=eye_enhancers_3_kit_shadows)

More importantly though, if you have small eyes you want to stray away from dark colors, as they tend to make you eyes look smaller, A dark color in the crease of you lid and a lighter color on the lid itself would be the best way to go. I wouldn't try experimenting with exotic colors until you had the technique down, or else you could end up looking like a circuis freak or MiMi from the Drew Carey show! :o)

I highly recommend the cover girl products, but I am not opposed to less expensive brands. Shimmer makeup tends to blend better, and ';pop'; much more. So, using Wet N' Wild or NYC is not below me. :o)

Hope that helps! Natural colors are really the best way unless your are punk rock or goth, then I suggest a deep black and red combination, but make sure to match your clothes! (Red eye shadow will never match a green shirt, I don't care who you are!)What color eyeshadow helps make blue AND green stand out?
My eyes change colour from bright green to blueish-green and I find the best eyeshadow to be brown - graded from dark near the eyelashes, mid brown on the lid and light on the arches...
I was watching this make up artist guy on YouTube and he was saying that golds and bronzes work well for blue eyes. He was under Enkoremakeup or something like that and the video was called Color Theory. He goes through a colour wheel and shows what best works with what. It was kinda interesting to see that there is actually this kind of stuff out there.

What are some eyeshadow tricks to make brown eyes pop?

I know that brown eyes can wear just about any color and I have all sorts of colors but I'm not sure how to wear them without looking as if I got punched in the eye or overdue it.

My question is: What are some cool tricks to make brown eyes pop without looking as if it's too much?

I'd like them to be nice to wear to school. :)What are some eyeshadow tricks to make brown eyes pop?
try purple ....it makes your eyes look lovely...i use a combination of golden n purple on my eyes (i also have brown eyes) n they really highlight my eyes......get a lot of compliments also!!What are some eyeshadow tricks to make brown eyes pop?
i have brown eyes too. i use darker colors, black eyeliner, and mascara that gives u length. with the colors use browns, tans, dark blues, blacks, etc. i wear my makeup like that 2 skool 2.
Put some light colored sparkly eyeshadow right near the corner of your eye where your tear ducts are. This will make you look more awake and vibrant. I read this somewhere and have been doing it for a while. It really works.
I have brown eyes too and I use almay eyeshadow for brown eyes it works really well and I use a brown eyeliner underneath my bottom lashes. I only line it from the outer corners to the middle not all the way lined it's a great trick.
i have brown eyes too and a dark brown eyeliner does wonders for me. I also find that a semi-light color with a brown on the part where your eyelid meets that spot btween ur eyebrows and your eyelid. Also, a medium blue glitter looks great!
Put the eyeshadow in a V shape from corner of eye
Maybelline makes great purple eyeliner that's actually directed towards girls with brown eyes. Line the insides of the bottom of your eyes. Smudge it on the top.

I use it and never cease to get compliments.
Like you, I have brown eyes. I cover the lower part of my lid with a light gray eye shadow, and then I coat the upper part with a pink.

What eyeliner & eyeshadow colors will make light brown eyes stand out?

I have light brown eyes. They are almond shaped. They have a bit of gold and green in them. Also, I have light skin and long dark brown hair. I don't know that much about make-up, so your advice really helps!!

    Thanks :)

What eyeliner %26amp; eyeshadow colors will make light brown eyes stand out?
I think any of these would look good with your eyes

First of all, to make them stand out you might want to use contrast. It think blue (dark blue, you want your eye color not the make up to stand out) looks good with brown eyes, and kind of makes them stand out. Neutral colors also look really good with brown eyes. You could try like taupes and peaches

If you want to make the green stand out, use pink, purple, and even green. I have hazel eyes, with green in them, and those colors really make the green stand out.

If you have dark brown eyes try the darker matted colors and create a smoky eye effect. Your daytime look can be simple or dramatic. You can pull it off

Also, use a highlight right under your eyebrow, and in the corner of your eye, and use a darker shad in the crease of your eye. It'll make your eyes look way pretty.

If you have light brown eyes try the smoky eye look and experiment with lots of different colors. Use lots of muted shadow liners and crayons.

Just experiment, that's what I do, I think eyeshadow is the most fun part of putting on my make up, just don't go overboard :)What eyeliner %26amp; eyeshadow colors will make light brown eyes stand out?
Warm purples are great for brown eyes. Look at the colors of the Almay packs that are made for specific eye colors. I love their brown eye one. It comes with directions on the back and a compact with purple brown and a highlighting color eyeshadow, purple mascara and purple eyeliner. It doesn't look crazy but natural with a little pop of color, great for everyday wear.
wow souns like your describing me!!

use a navy blue pencil eyeliner right along the lashline it shouldn't be over your lashes

any eyeshadow you love i agree gold is very nice and the blackest mascara (so you dont have to pile it on if you dont want to)

basically use colours opposite of your eyecolour (look at a colour wheel)
this is so weird my eyes are the exact same as yours!

I use gold, a brown darker than your eye, and lighter than your eye!

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! APPLY IT IN THIS ORDER!

    DARK BROWN

    GOLD

    LIGHT BROWN

I hope this does as well for u as it dose 4 me!
Purple, Teal, Light Blue, Pink, Gold, Turquoise, black. Always keep the eyelashes either black or brown though.
GOLDEN EYESHADOW MAKES YOUR EYES STANDOUT
    Brown.

    Maybe gold.

    Or purple.
i would do light and dark browns, but purlpes woul look good too with black liner and mascara.
i think pink, purple, gold,or blue would make it stand out !

    totally !

How do I make my bare minerals eyeshadow look the best?

I have been using bare minerals as my make-up for awhile now, including many of their eyeshadows. I was just wondering how to use the eyeshadow to make it look prominent and beautiful but not overdone? How do I make my bare minerals eyeshadow look the best?
To make the mineral eyeshadow stick to your lid and give the best color i would put a primer on your lid first then apply the shadow. Most places that sell make up have a eyelid primer. You could also apply foundation on your lid or concealer i'm sure it would work just as well. I would apply the mineral eyeshadow by patting it on the lid with a makeup brush.
  • How to enhance my brown skinwhat type of skin care should i get
  • How do i make powdery eyeshadow creamy and smooth?

    you can do 2 things:

    1. apply an eyeshadow primer on your eyelid. I swear on it, it brightens up the color of the shadow and it looks great!!

    2. you can apply shadow on your brush and spray some water on the brush. That usually makes the eyeshadow smooth to apply

i personally recomend the primer! Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Eye Shadow InsuranceHow do i make powdery eyeshadow creamy and smooth?
add or mix in creamy shadows or a little bit of thick creams.

How can i make my eyeshadow stay without falling into my creases?

i've tried wetting the brush a little [somewhere it said that would help] and using an Ulta shadow base.

didn't work too well for me...and im not about to buy an expensive $18 shadow base [unless i HAVE to]How can i make my eyeshadow stay without falling into my creases?
you're putting too much eyeshadow on, or the eyeshadow is crappy quality

sometimes it's nice to purchase expensive eyeshadows because you'll use them for years and years, it's expensive but it will last you a while and it provides excellent results

invest in a pallete and you wont buy makeup for another 5 yearsHow can i make my eyeshadow stay without falling into my creases?
MAC isnt the best for your skin, but i find that one of their paints (the ones in the little tube) works really well. I use the bare canvas one, its a neutral color, so put that on under your eye shadow and it'll stay all day!
Something that really helps is wetting your brush and the shadow itself just a little bit. I am a competitive dancer and we wear alot of make-up ...it has to stay on for hours on end!!!

    this should really help

    good luck!

Not tried the alcohol idea but not sure how well it would work and if it would irritate your eyes?

You can definitely use water though, that really works. Just dampen your eyeshadow brush a little and put it on that way. Don't make it too wet or dry or it will go clumoy :) good luck x
how the hell are you gonna add alcohol to it yourself

you'd put too much in and melt your eyes or something

What color eyeshadow will make my brown eyes pop?

I use brown eyeshadow and black eyeliner %26amp; noboby says it looks good but noboby says it looks bad... and i have fair skin and dark brown hair.... and my eyes r big! What color eyeshadow will make my brown eyes pop?
I have brown eyes and what i find most attractive is brown eyeliner and mascara, and light purple, light brown and beige eyeshadow %26lt;3What color eyeshadow will make my brown eyes pop?
You should do the smokey eye technique but instead of using Blacks and browns use a Dark green It looks Very good. i used it for Homecoming last year! Report Abuse

im sure anycolor would make it pop. just mix and match till you get good results. im thinking something purple-ish?
I heard green and gold are the colors that go well with brown eyes.
Try light pinks, light blues and golds for daytime. At night, try a brighter pink, a brighter blue (just avoid 1980's blue eyeshadow.. if you're old enough to remember that), a deeper gold. Go for colors that stand out against your hair. Maybe not all together, but separately they should work well. Try pairing any one of those colors with the brown eyeshadow you already wear.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use black eyeliner with black eyeshadow. And if you wear mascara, wear a brown/black instead of black. This will soften the look of your eyes.. it'll play up on their natural size...but it won't attract so much attention that they look like they're bugging out of your head.
i have light skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes...

first, GET RID OF THE BLACK EYELINER.. it closes off the eyes (i've tried eyeliner.. doesn't work for people who have dark eyes)

second, try to stay away from dark eyeshadows unless you are coupling it with a lighter one...

try to stay away from pinks, but light purples, or blues %26amp; greens will look very pretty... try using a sheer sparkly eyeshadow and brown/black mascara...

go for the very natural look when you do your makeup... you'll look gorgeous!
Pink would make your eyes pop. Use a Burgundy or taupe pencil. That should do the trick.

plum. n cut back on the black
I would use light blue eyeshadow...or something bright so they will stand out. and keep putting eyeliner on. i use lashexact mascara form covergirl and i always get complements on my lashes. if you put all those 3 together they should stand out. (if you use a light lip gloss it will also help the eyes to stand out better.)
If you have fair skin you shouldn't us dark eyeshadows. Not to say that you would look hideous in them, but fresh looks with fair skin are always the best. So with brown eyesI would say a light shimmery green would do the trick.
they must be crazy! i hav brown eyes as well! what makes mine ';pop'; is some almost black but gray eyeliner with golds white and nutral colors ur doin fine they just dont know wut there talkin bout...lol
i also have brown eyes and use black eyeliner and the colors (of eyeshadow) that i mostly use for my eyes are black or blue
Almay cosmetics sells quad eyeshadows that are specifically for the color of your eyes and they also have eyeliners and mascara to match the colors of your eyes and bring out the brightness. I

Try it in these quad shades:

    Intense i-Color/Bring out for brown

    Intense i-Color/Play Up for brown
    green
    lime green
try using white eyeliner on top and black on bottom. and use pinkish and blueish colors mixed together for shadow.
You should check out this website. You can play with a virtual makeover. You just pick a model that has similiar features to your own. Eye color, hair color, skin tone. i have brown eyes also, and my eyes ';pop'; when i wear blue and hot pink eyeshadow...with nice thick black eyeliner (and sometimes blue)...
you don't need no ishadow cause the way yo avatar's eyes are they're big enough they are 2 poppin
I think green and purple are wonderful colors for brown eyes. I like adding black eyeliner across my top eyelid right along my lashes. I think that really brings out my eyes. Or you could use the same color eyeliner as your eyeshadow. So if you use a green eyeshadow, put a thin layer of green eyeliner across your eye.
nobody says anything becouse nobody gives a sh.t

just kidding black or some other color will be all right

How to make my eyeshadow last longer?

i have no idea if i have greasy eyelids or what, but my eyeshadow always dissapears in about 2-4 hours! is there any way i can make it last the whole school day without creasing? How to make my eyeshadow last longer?
I used to have that problem, too, but I use MAC's Paints to keep my eyeshadow on. That stuff is amazing! I can fall asleep (not recommended) with it on and my makeup will still look fresh the next day. If I skip that step, my eyeshadow fades quickly and creases almost immediately. I suggest ';Untitled'; as it's a very light color and will go nicely under any color shadow. Squeeze a small amount onto your finger then take a small, thin shadow brush and spread evenly on your eyelid. Have your eyeshadow ready so that you can apply it before the Paint dries. The Paints look great alone, too, so if you're running late or are feeling lazy about your makeup one day, use a swipe by itself. How to make my eyeshadow last longer?
Try putting some moisterizing spray on(a light mist) then put on a base coat of eyeshadow, a light color that won't change what your eyeshadow will look like.
    Use a cream based eyeshadow.
This works for me. Clinique Touch Base for Eyes. I have extremely oily skin and it's the only thing that has worked for me. Been using it for at least 10 years. I also use Smash Box Photo Finish as a foundation primer and oil controller. Both are available at Sephora or sephora.com.

    Best wishes!
Try putting foundation on your eyelids. Sometimes people forget that place, or don't wear foundation, but it usually helps to keep eyeshadow on for a bit longer.

If that doesn't work, maybe buy some new eyeshadow. it could be that your shadow that you wear right now it too cheap. Or just reapply throughout the day if nothing prevails.
a primer or some foundation as a base.
Urban Decay Primer Potion. USE IT SISTER!
use powder over your foundation and use a good brand. chek out sephora.com. the ceapies suck!! You get what u pay for
Use a primer to help your eye shadow stay put ..Smash Box Cosmetics makes a good one or if you don't want to buy a new product foundation works well too.
Get a mac paint pot. and aply it before you aply the eyeshadow. It stays on for like 10+ hours!

If you can lick your own eyelids, you'll be sure to get a date or 12!
Personally I would use vagisil. It's got that white shimery sheen everyone is wearing lately, and the tube lasts for YEARS!
what is vegemite? I wouldn't use it. Instead, try something more suductive, like..... ky jelly. I use KY jelly for all my make up needs.
smegma would be better....more complementary to your eye color
Engine grease. It will smooth out the crows feet also.
    Crayola markers work well.

Dab a small amount of concealer or foundation over your eyelids and blend well, then put press powder over it, and apply your eyeshadow. Finish it off with just little more powder over the eyeshadow to set it in. I do this every time I wear eyeshadow and it works! How to make eyeshadow stop creasing..?
Creasing is caused by oiliness over the eyelid. To prevent it from happening sweep an eyeshadow base such as Benefit's F Y Eye! across your eyelid to create a barrier before applying eyeshadow. Avoid oil based or creamy eyeshadow formulations unless they specify they are crease resistant. Finish by setting your eye make-up with a finely milled loose powder dusted gently over the eyes with a large natural bristled powder brush.

Pinks and Purples are really good for Green eyes..navy blues too. Also green hues can bring out green eyes, surprisingly. Brown is more subtle but can also bring out green eyes. stay away from bright blues or reallly dark colors--it'll look very unnatural. Curling your lashes and applying a brown mascara also helps.

I wear glasses. What type of eyeliner and eyeshadow will make my eyes stand out?

I have brown skin and hazel eyes and round thin black-framed glasses.I wear glasses. What type of eyeliner and eyeshadow will make my eyes stand out?
I believe that anyone with any combination of hair and eye color (and glasses!) can wear any eye colors they choose and have them look right provided the colors are chosen to compliment each other (not your hair, or eyes, or glasses) and the application is smooth.

I wear glasses as well, and I find that sometimes it requires a little more color and a heavier application to make my eyemakeup (and thus eyes) stand out versus if I'm not wearing glasses.

As far as colors go, hazel eyes look great in purples and greens. These jewel toned colors will look even more amazing on your deeper toned skin. I highly recommend MAC and Urban Decay eyeshadows and liners for the intensity and quality of their colors. Urban Decay is awesome, but is generally an all around intense company, if you're looking for a more subdued eye but still want some color and definition there's always great choices at MAC.

For a great green eye with MAC products:

    1. Apply Vex (shimmery light grey) or Nylon (shimmery light gold) eyeshadow from lase line to brow bone. These are both highlight colors.

    2. Apply Humid (vivid shimmery green) eyeshadow all over the lid and up to the crease. Blend well.

    3. Apply Femme Noir (a deep, smokey matte green) eyeshadow in the crease.

    4. Line eyes with Tealo Powerpoint pencil, to top and bottom lash lines, blending well.

    5. Top off with 2 coats of your favorite black mascara (MAC Fibre Rich Lash in All Black is excellent).

For a pretty purple look with MAC products:

    1. Apply Phloof! (shimmery pinkish white) from lase line to brow bone to highlight.

    2. Apply Satelitte Dreams (sparkly purpley plum) eyeshadow all over the lid and up to the crease. Blend well.

    3. Apply Black Tied (matte black with silver sparkle) lighty into crease for added definition.

    4. Line eyes with Prunella (shimmery dark plum) Eye Kohl to upper and lower lash lines, blending well.

    5. Apply 2 coats of your favorite black mascara!

For even more definition curl lashes before applying mascara but after all other eye products. Shu Uemura's lash curler is my favorite. Pump the curler lightly from the base of the lash on out to the tips to avoid the ';bent'; lash look.I wear glasses. What type of eyeliner and eyeshadow will make my eyes stand out?
You should use black eyeliner an don't use eyeshadow, just use mascara. it will look great with your glasses!

just check out this picture - there is a tutorial included as well.
i use an ivory green. It makes eyes ';pop'; out and widens them. For eyeshadow, i use hardcandy brand shimery brown color. They look really nice together!
It is a common mis-conception that glasses wearers need to ';over do'; their makeup in order for their eyes to be noticed. You'll be judged best if you use the same makeup you would if you didn't wear glasses.
Try the Almay combinations. I love them!
I've been wearing glasses since before I started wearing makeup, and one trick I've picked up is to take a very light eyeshadow (one that complements the tones you're already wearing) and use it around the inside of your eyes.

This is from the same school of thought as lining the inside of your bottom eyelid with a white or light eyeliner. All of this is designed to make your eyes ';pop'; and be bigger or more noticeable. Lighter tones in general will make your eyes stand out, which might seem garish on someone without glasses. With glasses, though, you can take that extra step to make your eyes stand out.
hazel eyes and dark skin make green eyeshadow look great. i don't know where you live, but in the UK Barry M has recently brought out a new kind of eyeshadow, it's much more powdery than normal. there must be some equivalents. it's very sparkly.

dark skin also looks great with gold and purple eyeshadow. if your glasses magnify your eyes a little, it makes it stand out more and you could easily wear one colour fading into another.

make sure you don't use too much eyeliner. and if you wear mascara make sure that it's not too sticky or lumpy.
wear a gold shimmery eyeshadow and maybe a lil black eyeliner at the bottom
well just because you where glasses doesn't mean that you half to over do your make up. try maybe a different color eyeliner and black or a different color mascaras. just play up your other features besides your eyes.

and for eyeshadow use a gold and other light metallic colors. it will look gorgeousWhat are some dark shades of brown eyeshadow that make dark brown eyes pop?
honestly..dark brown doesnt do it. try a lisht shimmery one...kike 2 shades lighter than ur skin.its totally in and ur eyes will POP!!! lolWhat are some dark shades of brown eyeshadow that make dark brown eyes pop?
You need to make your eyes pop out. Dark brown for eye shadow and a shimmer in it.
Brown eye shadow will not make brown eyes pop. Try a green, purple or amber shade. It also depends on your skin shade.
Try shade of blues that flatter YOU. Green looks nice as well depending on your skin tone. Mainly on tan or darker skin tones.
I don' think brown will make brown eyes pop unless its really dark like a coffee bean brown. Other than that a really good color is plum for brown eyes! Hope this helped :D
brown and brown will never make each other stand out.

instead, try purple, gold, and green.

or, you could try a smoky eye if you really want to do sumthing with the brown eyeshadow, but it won't necessarily make your eyes pop.
almay actually has a line of make-up for eyes. i think its called like play or something. they have eye shadow color s made for brown,green,blue,%26amp; hazel eyes. it looks great too.
you should try a dark green eyeshadow or in that group that will really make your eyes pop. dark browns will not make it pop it will just blend in to much with your eyes or try eyeliners like plum or rak green even black they make your eyes pop.

What eyeshadow combination would make my eye pop?

i have like really really black iris. Seriously black. Like really reallly blck you cant see where the opening is. even doctors need a minute to figure out. And i want my eyes to pop out even more so i have like liquid eyes you know... which eyeshadow combination would make em pop? What eyeshadow combination would make my eye pop?
honestly.. black goes with everything.. you can do any combination of colours. maybe you should try contacts to make your eyes pop . What eyeshadow combination would make my eye pop?
Use a thin line of brown eyeliner right next to the roots of your eyelashes. Then use a combination of browns and tans. Brown actually makes eyes pop more because dramatic colours take the focus away from your eyes and often even make your eyes look smaller. And the eyeliner will make your eyelashes look thicker. Oh, and if you have red hair use shades of auburn eyeshadow. Don't use anything too red though or it'll distract from your eyes.
    Any bright colors would do.
if i were you i would do a green with brown undertones.

How to apply mineral eyeshadow? How to make it last longer?

I usually first apply Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then I would apply a medium layer of mineral eyeshadow (Everyday Minerals). But It will usually last about 3-4 hours only. Am I applying it incorrectly? Are their any other tips to keep my eyeshadow last all day?How to apply mineral eyeshadow? How to make it last longer?
I always use any kind of correction stick and cover my eyelid up to under my brow line. This is the kind of stick (in a tube like lipstick) normally used to cover discoloration under the eyes. There are several cosmetic companies that carry these (Maybelline, Almay, Rimmel) and come in various shades. I use a light beige hue.

In using this stick over the years, I have discovered that if I apply a coat of this first on my eye area, the shadow I put on over it stays perfect the whole day - minimal fading and/or gathering in the crease.

Try it -- I know you will be pleased !!How to apply mineral eyeshadow? How to make it last longer?
First use a moisturizer or primer or you can use both. Than put a little foundation on your lid before you apply the eyeshadow this will help it go on smoother, last longer and not crease.

What colour eyeshadow would make ice blue eyes stand out more?

Smokey eyes always look good with blue eyes.

To achieve smoky eye look, use a combination of navy blue eye shadows and greys. Use the darker colored shadows towards the outer corners of the eyes, and then gradually fade the color in towards the nose, so the colors lighter on the inside.

Line both the top and the bottom lids with get black eyeliner and apply lots of mascara! This look is good for daytime wear, or a night out on the town. How do you blend two different colors of eyeshadow together to make a new color?

I want to know an effective way of blending eyeshadow because when I blend my eyeshadow together, the colors blended together look the same as if they weren't blended. How do you blend two different colors of eyeshadow together to make a new color?
    With a Q-Tip?

Try mixing larger quantities of the colors together, or picking 2 colors that are really different. How do you blend two different colors of eyeshadow together to make a new color?
Ok obviously you want a new color to spice up your appearence. You have to pick colors that you think look good together. For example, I think blue and a soft green look good together. So I apply the color I like the best and dab on a little of the other color. You blend it a little with tool and there you go. A new color for you! And your problem with them looking the same, the colors are too alike.
take a small piece of one color and put it on a napkin then take the other color and put it on the 1st color then smoosh it with your finger and youll have the blend.
All you have to do is combine your favourite colour's.
when i blend my eyeshadow, i always buy new pods.

then i slice the amount of each color i want and place hem in a new pod.

then i gently crush together the chunks and voila there's a brand new color.
Always use a corner of a make-up sponge or an eyeshadow applicator, not your fingers, which will only cause infections. You could also use a small make-up brush. You need to apply the colors, then with a light sweep of the applicator, brush the join where the colors meet. You have to use different shades to get the right effect, such as dark blue and white which, when blended in the center, makes azure blue, a 3rd color.
apply both colors as you normally would. then take a blending brush, and lightly make tiny circles where the two colors meet with the tip of the brush, or use light windshield wiper motions. both ways will probably work, but some people prefer one over the other. the colors shouldn't look muddy or anything. keep practicing too. it took me a while to get it right.

How do I apply eyeshadow colors and make it look good?

I never wear eyeshadow b/c I just don't know how to match the darn colors. My cousin taught me how to apply the brown with a light brown background color. this has been working well. But then when I wear a very nice black dress i want to put on eyeshadow that goes with the outfit and i just don't know how.

Can anyone help? I want to try something new and i am just too embarrassed to ask my cousin again.

help would be greatly appreciated! How do I apply eyeshadow colors and make it look good?
For a black dress i would apply eyeshadow to give a smokey look.....used alot by celebs.

You'll need a metallic white, grey and then metallic black (Matte colours dont seem to work aswell)

Apply the white to the inner eye and sweep to the middle of your eyelid. You can take the white right into the corners of your eye this will highlight your eyes.

Then take the black and start from the outer side of your eyelid and sweep to the middle next to white.

Then with the grey blend the white and black together.

As long as they are all blended well you should get a smooth contrast from white-grey-black.

Add eyeliner and plenty of mascara to finish the look.

Hope this helps...it works for me all the time :)How do I apply eyeshadow colors and make it look good?
first rule of thumb with make up- never match your make up to your outfit, you match it to your skin tone, eye color, and hair color.

granted, when you wear black, you probably dont want brown make up - so just simply take the darkest color you want and use lighter shades the closer you get to your eyebrow.

always use a highlighting color right next to your eyebrow and on the inner corner of your eyelids (it really opens up your eyes) and just gradually get darker as you go down towards your eyelashes.
this is what i do every day for school, it's not too much for school but it sure makes you look more awake

    1. apply eyeliner. i prefer using an eyeliner brush and a black eyeshadow to create my eyeliner because it will be easier for me to blend and create the smokey look. since you are a beginner, i suggest you either buy a eyeliner pencil or use the method i do. since you are going to blend out the eye liner later on, make sure you apply enough and the great thing is that it doesn't even have to be accurate since you can always blend out imperfections or mistakes.

    2. once you've applied the eye liner, get a eye linger spongey thingy or get a eyeshadow/blending brush and start blending out the eyeliner you've applied. remember the smokey look is created through layers of color, from dark to light. the closer you are to the lash line, the darker the color shoudl be. so just put your blending brush where you've drawn your eye liner, and blend UPWARD in circular or window swiper motion. different ppl have different eye shapes ( i am asian so i lack that crease)..so you have to decide how far you want to blend that will create the best look for you. a tip for you: if you want a more cat eye effect, blend the end of your eye more so that it creates the effect of a cat's eyes.

    3. now that you've blended everything out, you can choose a color that you want to match your outfit. i use brown, plum, or grey depending on how i feel that day. because those colors are closer to my skin tone and mix well with black, it will help make my make up look more subtle (since i m only going to school anyways). for special occasions, you can use purple, pink, green, and basically anything! apply the eye shadow, try not to be too close to the lash line or else your eye liner would be totally covered and apply the eyeshadow the way that will create the best effect for you.

after you apply the eye shadow, you will notice that your eye liner may be half covered already. if you want to reemphasize your eye liner, reapply eyeliner using the brush or the pencil and then apply masacra if necessary and VOILA. (: that's your every day look

for special occassions, you want your colors to POP. A really really nice tip for you: take a cotton ball or a piece of tissue paper and drip a few drops of the toner you use for your face or a few drops of water if you don't have a toner. then lightly dab your eye liner or eye shadow brush on the wet areas and make the brush damp. make sure it's not TOO wet. if it's too wet, just use the dry side of the tissue and squeez out some of the excess moisture. then take your damp brush and get the color you want to emphasize and then apply the eye shadow with it. you will notice that the color is more apparent and its more vibrant. you can use the same technique when apply the black eyeshadow for your eye liner. it will then create the same effect that a liquid eyeliner creates and thus emphasizing your eyeliner.
check out youtube and type in eyeshadow tutorials and itll link you to a lot of great tutorials.... or check out http://macmakeup.net... it will show you a lot of great eyeshadow combinations. hope this helps!

You can play with all sorts of colors. Do you have double eye-lids or single? Single eye-lids can be a lil tricky when it comes to colors. Colors that are too light, such as pink, or white, may make your eyes look puffy.

Anyway, you can play it safe with earthy tones.

As for blush, raspberry tones could be cute for you as you said that you're tan-ish. Or even peachy mauve tones.

Have fun playing around with your colors :)
Not really sure how';tan'; you are but for brown(hazel eyes) green eyeshadow looks good. If you have regular brown eyes than i would go with purple. as for blush ... anything with a natural look. The clown cheeks are so done. I would go for more of a bronzer to light dust on the cheeks to give a glowing effect rather than color.

How do you make eyeshadow stay on longer?

everytime I apply my eyeshadow on it almost ALWAYS fades by like 2 hours or 3... am i suppose to apply concealor or something so it would stick?? im so confused? and with summer coming off it stays on even less... like 1 hour to the most... I always have to keep re applying it..How do you make eyeshadow stay on longer?
You can try a light coat of foundation over your eyelids and then apply shadow.

I find that using an eye primer smoothes out the texture of your eyelids making the eye shadow come on smoothly and look absolutely fabulous. Not to mention it helps it stay on all day. It works great with powder and creme eye shadows.

You can get it from M.A.C. or Sephora. I'm not sure if they sell it at drug stores. You can check and see. :)

Good Luck!! :)How do you make eyeshadow stay on longer?
In the summer espeically your eyemakeup is liable to fade and end up looking like crap. This is why most girls lighten the amount of makeup they wear in the summer, or pick lighter colours that don't visibly fade quickly.

My advice, if you really want to stick with eyeshadow, would be to apply a light coat of foundation on your eyes before applying eyeshadow. This keeps it looking fresh and smooth much longer.

    Hope that helps!
MAC Bare Canvas. Cost me $32 but lasts for ever practically. You use a tiny tiny amount and it does wonders. I sometimes use cheapish eye shadows that didn't last long before but now they stay put all day.

BTW, what brush are you using to apply the shadow with? Because that can make a big difference. I used to use the basic ones that come with eye shadows (the spongey ones) and they're crap. I like using brushes like the MAC Fluff Brush or Blending brushes (they're abit pricey so i got some for like $7 each at Priceline).
well.... the best way is to put on an eyeshadow primer. I've heard good things about urban decay but haven't tried it myself.

Or, the cheaper way is to put liquid foundation over your eyelids and then put on your eyeshadow. That's what i do. :)

But, now that it's going into the summer it won't matter as much because normally you'll wear lighter colors, so no one will really notice if ur wearing eyeshadow really.

    Have fun
put liquid foundation over your eyes.. make sure its a very light colored foundation.. and while it hasnt dryed yet apply the powder and it does stick longer

if the foundation is dark it might change the color of yoru eye shaddow after time.
i put eye cream on first then the concealer and then i have some shimmer stuff that is colorless that I put on right before the eyeshadow, here is the link for the shimmer stuff

    eyeshadow primer
put powder on ur eyelids before the actual eyeshadow.. its proven lol
lick the applicator before u put eyeshadow on it then u put it in the shadow and then on ur eye
you should use a eyeshadow base or primer.

    like Urban Decay Primer Potion.

or use a base, like a creamy eyeshadow, or you can use concealer. it will help make your eyeshadow stay on longer, since oils produce on your eyelids and kind of make your eyeshadow melts off, so using a base or primer will block the oils. and keep your eyeshadow on way longer (:

It's different for different people. It depends on your eye color and skin tone. However, I've noticed that most people with dark brown eyes look nice with mauve eyeshadow. I have hazel eyes and since they appear to be different colors depending on what color of clothing I'm wearing, I can get away with pinks, purples, grays, silvers, and mauves. try gold eyeshadow, with black mascara.
Use mascara for that. The mascara Hypnose by Lancome is very good in that effect.

What colors of eyeshadow make your eyes stand out?

depends on your eye color brown and lavendar looks good with brown eyes thats all really know! What colors of eyeshadow make your eyes stand out?
Because I have brown eyes I use pinkish shades as well as purple shadesWhat colors of eyeshadow make your eyes stand out?
    brown shades for blue eyes,

gold, lavender, or pink for brown eyes,

gold, brown, silver or lavender for green eyes.

once in a while the same shade as your eyes can bring out the color.

For greyish blue eyes, I would go with dark/medium brown to draw out the color, or silver to keep them light.

If you have a light colored eyes, try gold or dark colors for contrast.

If you have dark brown eyes and you want darker, try light shades of brown or even a whitish color. White is always tricky though.
For my green eyes, I use a plum on the eye lid, a dark green for the crease and a very light green for the top part. Makes green eyes pop! Almay has that new line out that fits your eye color along with the eye liner. I use these and love them. They really work great.
You can never go wrong with brown.
depends on your eye color. But in general, you can make your eyes look bigger by using a dark shadow and eyeliner (without eyeliner on the bottom)

I've got brown eyes too, here is what I have found - violets and plums, and browns and tan colors also compliment brown eyes well.

I love i-mark eye shadows from mark. They have a real deep purple color called Plum Velvet that is really popular. Also, biscotti which is a light beige, that is perfect for everyone. The best part is you can experiment and have fun, because they are really affordable. They are $4 each and you can purchase the snap to it pallette in various sizes to hold the eyeshadows.

As far as eyeliners, mark. has got these great liquid liners that come in various colors. My new favorite is the Metalliner hookup in Bronze Edge ($5). That really makes my brown eyes pop.

I have brown eyes and I love to use green, grey is great, also dark brown , down with a light brown is great too, and a little bit of purple a=can look really great for a going out look.
Use a light shadow on your eyelid and a darker brown in the crease.

To make your eyes really pop, though, try a purple eyeliner! It's hot for Fall and gives a very subtle color.

What eyeshadow will make my green eyes pop?

I have dyed red hair and green eyes, I need to find out a color eyeshadow that will make my eyes POP but nothing like PURPLE or, a bright green or a dark green, infact no green at all. im looking for somethin. pretty suddel but will still make them pop. I am going to be wearing black polyester pants, a red lacey tank top, and a black shrug. and black high heelsWhat eyeshadow will make my green eyes pop?
i agree gold looks amazing with green eyes or if you want something different cover girl has a fantastic line that has this brown/mochaish shadow with a gold undertone shimmer and its amazing !! use some eyeliner as well it will really make your eyes stand out with black mascaraWhat eyeshadow will make my green eyes pop?
    GOLD

that makes my green eyes pop
    purple anything makes mine pop
I say a charchoal black in the eye crease, not on the eyelid. Then

blend alittle upward and outward. To for a shadow. Not to much..

and on the lid a warm shimmer brown, or bronze. Have Fun !

And for a more dramatic look.....put eyeliner ( very soft blk.) on

lower and top lid. ( again, lightly blended). Then add mascara.
Gold would look great. But what you should do, and this sounds wierd, but smear purple eyeshadow just on your lashline then blend that with the gold up to the rest of the lid. your eyes will really POP.
Sounds like you will be very colorful already. I suggest you use a soft taupe. Light blue is also good. Not shiny, simply matte. They both help punch up green eyes. Use a nice black mascara too like the new Chanel it is very good. Good luck.
pink, I know it sounds like a teenager's color, but it works with my eyes.
Copper is a great color for green eyes and red hair. Would go well with your outfit too. Revlon makes a great one, it's called Copper Spice. Not too expensive and stays on for hours.
    gold or copper
    gold
I would go with dramatic black liquid eyeliner, and some volumizing mascara. Do a light gold for the eyeshadow and I think that would really make your eyes stand out...
PURPLE!!!! it really is noticeable try it!! I'm telling you!!! if not purple try gold or silver...
    Try mochas and gold

Is there something I can do to make it set without using expensive products to do so?How Can I Make My Eyeshadow Last Longer?
PRIME! there are a million ways to prime your lids you just need something that will stay put on your lid and give your eyeshadow to stick too (itll also make the colors brighter)

If youre fair skinned you can go for Urban Decay Primer or concealer but personally in pictures they make you look like youre wearing a mask cause they brighten up on flash...id stick with a liquid foundation or concealer thats your skin tone your probably using one anyways so no need to go purchase other stuff...you can get some jumbo pencils those work well but be sure to use light coverage and BLEND otherwise the shadow will crease...good luckHow Can I Make My Eyeshadow Last Longer?

Yup, just like the first person, primer.

If you are able to spend more, I'd suggest urban decay eyeshadow primer.

If you're on a budget (like me) I just put some foundation on my lids before eyeshadow!
well if you're on a budget i say you get the L'oreal De-Crease

it doesn't make your eyeshadows crease[ : and works for me

that or you can just use eye color pencils that makes the color more vibrant and that should serve as a base too ? like the NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils ?
Concealer! Put it on before you put on your eyeshadow. Every makeup artist will tell you that concealer will keep your eyeshadow in place. A primer for the face is ok to use on the eyes too but I would recommend that you use a concealer for your eyes and a primer for your face.
You should definately try Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer. It makes your eyeshadow stay on all day, and it doesn't crease! It's GREAT.

You should use black eyeliner an don't use eyeshadow, just use mascara. it will look great with your glasses!
    http://forum.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=messageboard.viewThread%26amp;entryID=18912444%26amp;categoryID=0%26amp;IsSticky=0%26amp;groupID=100189844%26amp;Mytoken=37D1198E-AFD5-4063-863ED4285BA2588D80057703

just check out this picture - there is a tutorial included as well.
i use an ivory green.

  • How to enhance my brown skinwhat type of skin care should i get
  • What are some dark shades of brown eyeshadow that make dark brown eyes pop?

i have dark brown eyes and dark colors arent the best way to bring them out.

use a gold liner or a purple liner. they will look alot better and bring out your eyes.

and for eyeshadow use a gold and other light metallic colors. it will look gorgeousWhat are some dark shades of brown eyeshadow that make dark brown eyes pop?
honestly..dark brown doesnt do it. try a lisht shimmery one...kike 2 shades lighter than ur skin.its totally in and ur eyes will POP!!! lolWhat are some dark shades of brown eyeshadow that make dark brown eyes pop?

Than put a little foundation on your lid before you apply the eyeshadow this will help it go on smoother, last longer and not crease.
dust a translucent powder on all over. itll settle the makeup.

First use a moisturizer or primer or you can use both. Than put a little foundation on your lid before you apply the eyeshadow this will help it go on smoother, last longer and not crease.
dust a translucent powder on all over. itll settle the makeup.
