How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?

I normally use subtle colors such as light to medium browns, as well as white eyeshadow. How can I make these colors pop a little bit more, instead of looking too natural? How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?
Here's what one of my 2 best friends does, and everyone notices her make-up!! A TON!

She does like a white color that shines a lot, then she puts eye-liner on the bottom and top, and lots of mascara! i do the same thing, but sometimes i replace the white with brown! :)))

It willl look ADORABLE if you do it correctly.

i got it from her, and we BOTH LOVE how it turns out! :)How can I make subtle eyeshadow colors really pop?
For eye shadows to really stand out, they need to have a little more contrast to your skin tone. So you'd be better off investing in more dramatic colors if you really want the eye shadows to pop.

Even if you wanted the keep the same colors but jazz them up a bit, you'd still have to get something more, like shimmer.

If you can do a wet application of the eye shadows (some can and some can't), that will darken the colors a little bit and make them more dramatic.

It might help to use the white as a base to build the browns on top of, but if the browns blend really well with your skin tone, I'm not sure the white will make too much of a difference. If the white has a lot of pigment and perhaps a bit of shimmer, it might add enough contrast to the browns for them to stand out more.

Keep the browns in the crease, and allow the white to be right up against your lashes. If you pair it with a darker liner, that would help too.
mmmm.. making subtle neutral eyeshadows pop.

abit hard ain't it when you said it is subtle.

depending on how are your brown tones. If it's too subtle or not enough pigment you'll realise nothing will pop, no matter how much you put.

White is not considered a colour. If you want to use white, you have to be careful. Too much of it will make your eye look smaller coz it washes out the skin area around the eyes.

Try to use a neutral SKIN tone eye shadow across the whole eye area. Apply a mid-tone taupe from the end of the eye and sweep it in, following the eye socket area. This will create illusion of depth.

Line the eye with a dark eyeliner (Dark khaki green, dark navy, pewter gunsmoke greys or pitchdark blacks will all work), will help bring defination to the eyes. Curl and sweep on generous amounts of mascara will bring more detail onto your peeps.

EYEBROWS must be drawn to complete the whole eye look.
you might just be using one color at a time thats why

try to play it up a bit

try different shades of that brown and maybe a color close to it like gold or a peachy color

use the brown for the lid

peachy natural color on the eye brow bone area place.haha

and in the crease use another ype of brow

oh %26amp; also try going on youtube to find a tutorial for how to applly makeup
you could try like a gold color all over the lid with your medium browns in your crease and outer-v. gold is also a natural color but with a bit more color.

dip the tip of your brush in water and then dip it in the eye shadow, it will make the colour look more bold.

Try putting a little Vaseline over the colour on your lids to help brighten the eyeshadow and it will also keep the colour applied longer

:o)
make them contrast alot from each other--

and put the white eyeshadow on your brow bone (right underneath your eyebrow)

the brown should be in the crease (right the eyelids when eyes are opened)

you could also make them contrast by making your eyeliner the contrasting color.
try using two subtle colors.

place a lighter color near your lash line and a darker color ontop.

this makes it pop.

make sure your buying the right color for your skin tone eeye and hair color

:)
white on the corner then medium brownish shade then a dark color on the end use a really light pink allong the brow :D
wear more

or buy sparkles and putt a little :]

or

put the white on the inside corner of your eyes

orrr

you could try buying that color in a brighter shade
