Is there any way to make eyeshadow look lighter?

I don't use a eyeshadow primer. But I tried this color and it's really

You're not really going to be able to change the color of the eyeshadow itself, just change the way you apply it. Put some liquid foundation on first to maybe even out the shade of your lids, and also try applying a light coat of a white or cream (or pink, if it's a dark red, etc) shadow underneath the dark shadow, that usually works for me. Otherwise buy a new product!Is there any way to make eyeshadow look lighter?

it works sooooo well and it works with every color shadow you have
not that i know of except to use less. It may be like painting, try mixing a white shimmery eyeshadow to the color eyeshadow...its worth a shot
Try applying white or a neutral color below? :]
