I don't have anything like the Urban Decays Primer Potion, to make the eyeshadow and stuff stay on longer, is there anything around the house I could use instead?Instead of a base to make your eyeshadow stay on, what can you use?
Here is what I found on the internet ....
1. Apply foundation to the eyelid this will minimize any imperfections and help your eye makeup stay on longer. Use your pinky or ring finger to apply foundation and work your way inward to avoid pulling on the skin.
2. Apply a concealer one shade lighter then your foundation to the eye lids and under the eyes use a make up sponge to gently blend in.

Tip for Getting Sexy Eyes 2: Prepare Your Eyelids
To help your eyeshadow color stay on longer, try preparing your eyelids.
* First, gently cleanse your eyelids with an eye makeup remover or other gentle cleanser, such as Gentle Foaming Cleanser from Aloette. Your skin will retain color longer and the makeup will glide on smoother if the eyelid surface is clean.
* Second, dust your eyelids with a pressed powder, which also helps your eye makeup last longer and prevents creasing.

Hope this is helpful ~~~Instead of a base to make your eyeshadow stay on, what can you use?
not that i know of
and besides you wouldn't get a good result from any household products either
it's best to either get that primer potion
or go to mac (either in macy's or an actual mac store) and get an paint pot or paint or their primer for eyes
also, a concealer or a foundation with powder would kind of work!
you could try a lightweight foundation, or a tinted moisturiser would be great. or even a dab of concealer over your eyelid. also, if you dont have a tinted moisturiser, just a lightweight face moisturiser might work. just try a few different things and see what works best! :)
If you put some concealer on your eyelids
and let it dry that should do the trick, thats
what I do and it works for me. And also it
depends on the eyeshadow. I could never
find any that stayed on well enough, then I
started using mac cosmetics and loved it!
I would definitely just use concealer or foundation on the eyelids to make shadow stay longer. I personally use Lancome Eye shadow base, it's $14.00 and it works like magic. Or you could even consider using Shadestick from MAC under your shadow.
A cream or liquid (cream is better) concealor or foundation, or a cream eyeshadow will keep it on longer than nothing, but UDPP really lasts longest for me. Concealor lasted 4 hours, cream shadow 7, and UDPP over 15.
Eye gloss, and if you dont have that clear lipgloss. although it is very sticky, it works really good.
I know it sounds weird but it works
concealer or foundation work just fine. make sure you use one with no oil because oil will smudge your makeup and/or make it fade
Shadestick, liquid foundation or concealer
i just use concealer most of the time. it works too.
mac does the eye good
chapstick if ur on a budget :D
If you have a bronzer, putting on that before will help to make the eyeshadow stick better to your skin.
Also, a trick my friend does is taking toothpaste on a cotton swab and rubbing it on her eyelids till you can no longer see white and that helps all eyeshadow stays on because the paste serves as almost a type of glue.
Primer, eye primer, or face powder.
