How can I make my eyeshadow stay on longer?

I know that you should use an eyeshadow base but I dont know what works the best. I have tried MAC paint pots in rubensque it is sparkley and orange but that makes the eyeshadow that you put on top look orangey.





Please do not recomened urban decay primer potion. I do not have acess to a store that sells that.

You can always ask MAC. I have their eyeshadow base in just a pale pink/nude color. This keeps on my eyeshadow on all day long! I'm suprised because there are other ones that they carry. Just ask.How can I make my eyeshadow stay on longer?

Do Not Use Hairspray!! An eye primer will help your shadow to stay on longer. I would suggest Mary kay Signature Eye Primer, simply because the product is guaranteed to work or your money will be cheerfully refunded by the consultant that showed you how to use it and sold it to you.
Just coat your lids with a nice, plain, light concealer and the results will be amazing!

I use a concealer by MAC but I also find that cheap pharmacy brands work just as well :)
at clinique they have this great stuff and its sort of like a concealer but its creamier and is just for your eyes. i use it everyday and my eyeshadow is brighter than without it and it stays on wayyyy longer. also if you use eyeliner it wont smear or run. im not exactly sure what its called but just go to somewhere like belks or dillards and theyll know exactly what im talking about!
Before you put on the eyeshadow put on a light coat of Vaseline and then apply the eyeshadow.

MAC does work it's just that you need a base coat under.
Well what I do is a buy a cheapie cream eye shadow in the same color and then apply the powder on top to set it. Works great!!
Buy Eyeshadow Primer. Mac sells it in many colors, and it'll help glue the eyeshadow onto your lid. Mac isn't the only brand who sells eyeshadow primer though, and if you've heard a lot of good things about Urban Decay Primer Potion, then you could always order it on Ebay or Amazon.

I use the liquid foundation I use on the rest of my face. I never have to re-apply my shadow at all. I use L'Oreal products.
